A follow up to the definition posted.
Can you say sorry and mean it?
Trump clearly can not.
It does not come easy to many Thai.Certainly not my wife.
Myself, i can and do and it is genuine. I might be a little correct in my opinion, but understand how a sharp tongue can wound more than is necessary. Then the inevitable escalation.
Time to reflect and back down. Loss of face, perhaps, but holding the higher moral ground.
Relationships, long term are not easy.Each knows the others' weaknesses and where to strike.
One on here tried that, my self confessed alcoholism. Been dry for weeks, to disarm my wife. Her first line of attack not there. But i know where to hurt. And did. Words, not physical violence, that never from me.
So now you know.
Can you say sorry and mean it?

To many to say sorry and mean it ie accept accountability is perceived as a sign of weakness, in fact its the complete opposite In a corporate work enviroment its a very powerful tool, as i learned from my mentor, some thing gone to shit, all the minnions sitting around the conference table arguing and playing the blame game, fingers pointing.... My mentor told them all to shut up, " sorry if was my fault" got up and walked out..meeting over, argument over, completely disarming all the managers and fkcers sitting round the table...they didnt know what to do or say  |

No family, close family in England, grandparents dead before he was born His grandparents there at his birth and there every day for him. As are the aunts uncles and cousins. Yes he has British citizenship, my wife does not. So i take him , minus his mother to poverty in England. Just saying. |

Is there a difference in excuses and saying/feeling sorry ?
Maybe 'my' understanding only, but somehow I see excuses as more formal/business like and related, and sorry being used to express (more) feelings. Am I way off here?
