Theres no more "for sale" section here anymore , so I'll put it in this section. My 93yo grandfather is selling his 1935 Jaguar SS1. Back then Jaguar were known as Swallow Sport. The car pictured is not the actual car , I don't have a pic of the car here. The car is the model pictured but its maroon. The car has had an offer of 70k Au dollar and will be sold to this person unless another offer comes in. As it sits the car isn't running. In running condition the price is over 130k Au. It won't take much to get it going, the head is alloy and over time has corroded onto the block. It's been garaged for over 50 years and driven once in that time. Problem is the guys that know how to work on them are far and few between here these days. The knowledge is with the guys in their 80s and finding them isn't easy in Australia. If I had 70k , I'd buy it but I'm tied up with another house we are buying. I don't really think anyone here is interested, but you never know. I've been hassling my family here to all put in and get it. No luck there. So before it gets shipped to the states , is anyone interested? 70 000au dollars.

Here's a couple of later models going for much more. Granted they're running.

You may be surprised at parts availability for it in australia...the old jag dealer in Melbourne bought up a huge stock of spares that were being about the time I had the MK7 and I believe had the largest stock in the world. I do no know if they exist now. Our family started with the MK5 after my Grandfather was told to get a smaller car...before that he had RR.

no sorry that was in the distant past. Last century. I said so because there is a chance someone there has a treasure trove of old parts. It would be nice to see the old girl run. the club www.jagvic.org.au/would be a good start
