The Teletubbies twenty years on: Behind the handbags, the lesbian romps and the £250 appearance fees The huge CBBC hit celebrates its 20th birthday this year, but whatever happened to the people who lived inside Dinky, Laa Laa, Dipsy and Po? Eh oh! Two decades ago, the giant forms of Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po and their television screen midriffs pretty much ruled the kids TV world. The show originally ran for four years from 1997 to 2001, with the four oversized pals frolicking around their grassy bunker with Noo Noo the hoover and the inadvertently menacing sun baby to the delight of million of children across the world. It's been 20 years since their multicolour gibberish became universally lauded, so we take a look back at what the characters have been up to since... www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/teletubbies-twenty-years-on-behind-10116491

I loved it cos I made a fortune from Telly tubby unauthorised merchandise. 30 days of joy then like all crazes, it crashed. I remember having framed photos of a boy band and Spice Girls in 1997 - 90 pence they cost me. Sold them at £3 each, two for a fiver. Earned £400 in two hours, then sold out. Bastid. TAMAGOCHI was the best craze, around August 97. Remember that?

I thought Peppa Pig was bad, but I survived that. This Forkin Finger Forkin Family is another thing altogether, don't know whether I can stand much more of it. The only way I can avoid it is by setting up the old tower computer with Linux OS, and hook up a big ol' track-ball mouse that the kid can't use then I have control over what is being watched. Will last until he works out Linux and the track-ball. Hippity will know what I mean.

Peppa Pig. A 7 minute long kids cartoon that earns a reported 1 billion dollars a year😲
I hate the bloody show.

The seventies kids had much more interesting programmes. We were even exposed to foreign language as well, Taffynese (Welsh) Sex education too , ''Sheep.'' Mind you the Magic Roundabout Jasper Carrot version was much more fun than the kids version.

Ivor the Engine, , I had a mate, (when the local welsh contingent used to turn up at the bar we used to drink in) who used to shout across the bar in his best welsh accent " Hey Ivor, there are some sheep on the line, what we going to do ?............go get your wellies and lets go fk them"
