Seems as if the time is near when South Africa and the rand is at risk and more frightening the very fragile financial, social, tribal and ethnic stability of South Africa.
Blood baths will I fear not be uncommon.
One fears there may well be spill overs concerning this issue into other states within the region which to be truthful is indeed smouldering basket case of hate and violence waiting to ignite into a terrifying inferno of blood and guts.
All thanks to Zuma and the Gupta clan.
Notable though that the Gupta clan fled to Dubai from South Africa last year, they knew the writing was on the wall for them and Zuma in the not too distant future. That future has now it seems arrived.

RT needs to fact check, The Rand is not at a 2 year low against the USD, 12 months ago or so the Rand was around 16 to 1, currently 13.3, down from 12.4ish a few days ago However the rest of the piece is spot on, this move is the next move in trying to establish a full Marxist state, The ANC (Zuma) is trying very hard to get a 2/3rds majority in paraliment with some of the more unsavioury factions, to enable him to change the consitution to enable him to nationalise and land grab and he has purged some of the more "liberal and enlightened" members of the ANC who oppose what Zuma is up to, the finance minister for one Cue Micks rebuttal www.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/31/jacob-zuma-sacks-finance-minister-pravin-gordhan

No rebuttal from me. But I bet I am not the only outsider looking in who does not give a flying fig what happens in that country. Could list a whole heap of other countries as well that have been effed over by both sides, for one reason or another. The words "basket-case" and "Karma" come to mind.

I remember years ago Mandela had the begging bowl out seeking western companies to invest in autoplants to give the locals jobs.
20+ years later and it has only gotten worse.
Not mentioned for fear of racism, the brain drain, by both educated blacks and whites.
My brothers boss in Australia is a Saffer.
The black medics in Saudi told me how a functioning system was torn apart and contracts issued based on tribalism.
Never mind Saint Pikey of Geldof will hold a concert for you.
You want to see the future of the country, look across the border and see Uncle Bob for details.

Some say when you're screwed over it's better that it's done by your own people than by foreigners. Wrong attitude I would called that. Better to take care not be screwed over by whoever, but then I'm a bit of a loony lefty at times

I try to avoid places where gunpoint robbery is a common occurrence.
Hence why I have not been back to Trinidad in over a decade sadly.

Early 90tish a colleague had to go to Rio de Janeiro for a few weeks. Picked up by local colleagues. Asking advise they told him 'if you walk around and someone asks for your wallet give it. Also better make sure there's some money inside otherwise they might get upset. Oh by the way, when it gets dark ... stay inside your hotel'. No idea if he dared to walk to Ipanema Beach a few hundred meters from his hotel

Its the greatest story never told.
