You are right, and I had never heard of it. But after doing a bit of reading on it I think it's because it's a sea snake that it does not make most of the lists of deadly snakes.
The power of it's toxin is scary, makes the land snakes look ordinary.

Fortunately sea snakes tend to be mild tempered.
