They had those back in the 70s. XB fords with 351 v8s. Not quite as overkilled engines as Mad Max , but they were race cars right from the factory door. Highly collected now.

Well it's inevitable the police will be needing something since Holden and Ford no longer make anything bigger than a 4 cylinder now.

I guess in the Netherlands we could do with 4-engine highway patrol cars. 2017-04-17 In the night of Friday to Saturday a 28-yo woman from Amsterdam has been stopped with her Lamborghini on the A8 Highway, near Zaandam. She was driving at the incredible speed of 40 km/h and zigzagged along, a few times nearly bumping into the side rail. The brake lights could also be seen to frequently light up. The police, warning by a truck driver, gave the woman a stop sign. The breatheliser test showed her to be drunk. Consequently she lost her driving license. No word on the lamborghini though. Normally cars are towed away, but maybe this time ... ...

Mick, the South African Rozzers had supped M5s as anti hijack pursuit cars in the big smoke in the 1990s Oh opitional extras were a flack jacket, a very angry German sheppard in the back and an R5 assault rifle, a side arm and a couple of shoypt guns thrown in for good measure Attachment Deleted

Aussie cops, every state I believe, in the 1990's were driving Ford Falcons and Holden Commodores. I don't remember ever seeing any other type of car used, not that I take much notice of them when I am here.
