'It nearly killed him!' Doctors remove live eel from man who used it as constipation cure
DOCTORS have performed emergency surgery to remove a half-metre live eel from the stomach of a middle-aged man who was said to have tried to use it to cure his constipation.
The man told stunned medics in the Guangzhou, southern China, he heard about the bizarre folk remedy on the streets where he was told his condition could be effectively relieved or even cured by using the slippery fish as a living suppository.
