A bit late now but it depends on the version of windows 10 you have. If you have windows 10 pro you allready have the softeare to load windows xp Home edition. I know of a few laptops for sale locally that might have older versions. A dedicated laptop will work better anyway. It was worth trying. Makes me wonder how many gamers have a lot of games that they can no longer play. I never heard of this problem until an (expensive specialised) interface I ordered turned up yesterday and wouldn't install on 64 bit. Great proven software but obviously not adapted yet. Was that interface for Flight sim?

You have xp on a disk so mount it without the win 10 and run it. You should be able to make a virtual image of that disk...(read up on your oracle stuff) You can then copy that image to where you want and run that in your windows 10 machine with oracle.
(A while since I have done it and new versions now so cannot help more precisely)

Can't find the xp disc. I vaguely remember drilling holes in it and hanging it outside to scare the birds away.

Machine diagnostics by manufacturer. ok the virtual software may help but you may have trouble with interface to your machine....most do not have old style serial and parralel ports though they can be added but may give problems with the vm....not sure

I am now thinking a cheap laptop with genuine XP is the best option for this task. At least I have orical installed and can play with it later.

I am taking like a pro already 555.

I'll pick up a second hand HP down the road for a couple of thousand baht max. If that doesn't work you won't hear the end of me.
