Wonderful a mod in a forum who doesn't or cant understand Thai geography.
So now see clearly the I.Q level of the mods in the other place as well as their self god given right to be able to monitor and censor posts as well as suspending and banning others who have an I.Q. streets ahead of these born again morons. .

Take a Valium and calm down dear boy, I am sure BM's very own Dr Will will be along shortly to give you some advice What can we conclude from this thread ? TV mods are not appointed for their intellectual prowess, and more likely their ability to bite a pillow

Anguid, Shaggy, Sheryl, Craig . . . I also like Charlie and Scott and . . . George, he's actually sound. Oilinki was a mod too. It's a horrible forum to try and moderate. Some of the mods there don't connect with the members and I think that's the main issue.

What was the salary like? It's hell on earth to be honest. You get asked to do a local mod part first then quickly get to global mod and it's all downhill from there. Quite how most of them keep it up is beyond me and it's no wonder they get the hump and resort to Stalag17 standard procedures. Oilinki will no doubt say the same.

I keep hearing about this other forum, never seen it and don't want to after reading all the stories here. Sounds like a prison camp.

Some of the mods there don't connect with the members and I think that's the main issue. I have met george and a few of the mods. They struck me as quite decent people. I know moderating is a cow of a job and they have my sympathy even when the inevitable mistakes are made and posts are misread in haste and out of context and delete. I however do not like the way the mod is allways right there even when they race off following their own standards. That said many of the people posting here because they were banned there should have no complaints. I think that forum has lost its way, I think partly because once a mod is appointed they are left to become gods without restraint. They also have some mods who may have been moderating too long. Moderating does change people one loverly girl who will remain un-named changed over a few months moderating to somone I was not sure I wanted to know. A forum needs consistentcy. You should be safe to know when you post that if mod A will accept it mod B will too. Youalso need to know winges and complaints are fairly heard and handled. They no longer do so.

You are quite right in your analysis. I made it about six weeks and felt my mood was getting more and more negative and depressed. I never banned anyone, gave one warning but that was only to learn the system (although the poster did need warning). Tried to keep it light and happy and sort things out by PM, with extreme humility on my part, but no way was it going to last. There's so much to do as a global mod, no way there's time to argue about decisions. It really is that busy. How the busy mods like Scott and Charlie cope is beyond me. Special mention to Tywais too, fabulous chap.

I have always been a goody-goody over there. However I did once have a 'post containing a racial slur' removed when I referred to Native Americans as American Indians.

The problem with the other place is they take it and themselves far too seriously and by extension their are posters on there who take themselves far too seriously and of course there are some with massive chips on their shoulders and one suspects socically inadequate in real life
