I am already on that guys page, i am waiting on price off him for a couple of kgs of boere wors, he has just started making them, but yes the biltong and droe wors with beer , a true match made in heaven, i prefer biltong to droe wors as i find it gets struck in your teeth too much

Not a bad price to be honest...in SA the average going rate is around R 200 kg, ie around THB 600 from the butcher and decent meat is a lot cheaper than Thailand, and it would be a tricky process making it in Thailand naturally with humidity, unless he has bought a biltong drying cabinet

There's a restaurant in CapeTown, and entry is a vintage watch and chain There are 10 and it allows you to take 4 guests. You then pass it on to anyone. So the shows host asks a couple how the got theirs. Daniel Craig just walked by and handed it over. He was filming in Cape Town.

Always had the impression the likes of the Roundhouse, Le Colombe and Aubergine were the top 3 restaurants in CT is it one of those three ? The cast majority of people who live in CT are not really into fussy al la carte eating, most would rather have a braai on the beach or fish and chips at some spot over looking the mountains and ocean

The restaurant gives up and coming chefs a chance to show their skills. So there is no set menu. I think its on True 566 if you can catch it.

A bottle of Old Brown Sherry would go down well if it gets a bit cool in January. It would need to be at the right price though, which of course it couldn't be.

Fme OBs havent heard that name in a long time, yes a "winter" braai...everyone around the fire dressed in their "winter woolies" drinking klippies and coke and OBs In the UK they call the same thing a summer BBQ and are all stripped off to their Y fronts and knotted hankies Welcome aboard

Sorry to give a jaundiced response but I never got into the braai scene. Charred boerewors on a roll in someone's back garden never did it for me. No more did a barbecue in my native UK. A glass of the OB on a sharp morning could put the world in a better light. Pine for it (well a little bit) from time to time. Fortunately not many cold mornings here.
