Get in there quick and find yourself a new gik Too late, he has been burnt. A little confusion I think. "Trains of thought?" Burnt? Far more civilised to burn English sheep than trains of thought Thomas

A fine sentient sir, however which wife might it be you are thinking of? Or perhaps it's which companies the wives may be thinking of!! uk.linkedin.com/in/graham-briar-6b7b8053Twitter hometipster LinkedIn Member Assistant Editor @ meebal.com and hometipster.com Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area Current: Assistant editor at http//:hometipster.com

Man (gender reference not a status reference) was a con merchant and a proven thief, ripped off his U K business partner for 70,000 pounds and fled here to Thailand to ply his trade in Phuket and later up North, if he is dead, gucking food riddance to him .
But I wonder if his latest partner Pie or, and the family are going to find themselves in serious debt viz a viz a 490.000B motor cycle ?
The farm could go, what an inheritance to receive.

People go on about the money and such but what I'm more alarmed by is, who photoshopped that hair on him for the funeral picture?
Looks like someone out of 'Different Strokes'

There will be no debt, the repo man will be sent round to reposses it, option 1. Option 2, she could sell it and clear the debt. Option 3, she will have had a guarantor countersign the purchase paperwork.

Here lies the fundamental problem. Guys like this make it difficult for guys like us to help genuine cases. And there are genuine cases such as the guy I mentioned a couple of years ago who broke his hip. ...... We are not sociopaths on this forum. We know the difference between a genuine case ( especially in real life ) and a total forkwit. I'm pretty sure that every one of us has had to bail someone out in the past ( in Thailand ). In some cases, the money comes back, in others, it's a write-off. Que sera - I don't want to ever be so cynical that I refuse to assist anyone, but stories like this don't help. One of the unfortunate things about living in Thailand. Ignorance can be bliss. But in Thailand it's hard to avoid getting experience of scams, rip-offs, giving money vs false/ exaggerated stories. I'd say most of the things Thailand is notorious for I've either experienced first hand or had a good friend who has. It's difficult to escape unscathed So when a genuine case comes along there's usually a doubt in your mind just because it's Thailand. I will hold my hand up and be the first to admit, I have been here too long, and have grown cynical over the years, seen way too much. I have adopted the Thai attitude, if it aint my family, it aint my problem. Thankfully up here in the boonies of Bkk I have very little interaction with farang, there are two things I tell people, i dont do drugs and I dont do loans, not being a complete bastid, i will spring for a ticket back to jolly ole blighty for you, but your story had better be a darned good one, either one that amuses me or one I havent heard before, and believe I have heard them all.

There is a post elsewhere that states that the bike vanished a few days before his presumed entry to hospital. Now if that is or was the case there are going to be some very difficult times ahead for Pie and her family.
