^^^ Isn't that wonderful. The EU members can't even agree on a single date for an election. What a shambles that organisation is. And the long delay before counting starts gives plenty of time for the unscrupulous to manipulate the tally. If the 'Brussels Dictatorship' via the European Parliament decided on enforcing a single day you would also complain I'd say.

No results till Sunday 21:00 or so, but already some data from the Netherlands, %% voters in major cities
17:00 local time, voting stations close 21:00 Amersfoort: 25,2 procent Den Haag: 23,1 procent Eindhoven: 21,8 procent Groningen: 26,7 procent Purmerend: 20,4 procent Rotterdam: 19,8 procent Utrecht: 26,0 procent
Not really impressive, also interesting that this is about the same %% as last time, in 2014.

Well, it would seem lots of people in the Netherlands voted AFTER work. Just read that 41.2% of voters actually voted. That's the highest level since 1989!
No official results till Sunday evening, but exit polls indicate that Thierry Baudet's new really right party Forum for Democracy got 11% of votes and Geert Wilder's PVV lost 9.2%. PvdA (like Labour, but less leftish) doubled vote to 18.1%, VVD (like Tories, but less rightish) increased a bit to 15%. As such there wasn't a surge of populism in the Netherlands.

Wot no serious analysis of the results and no post-election debate?
Everybody p**sed last night or had no sleep watching the live results?

'serious' analysis? Surely you can't be serious old chap. This is the BigMango, remember? PS rumour has it Nigel F. is desperately looking for 21 good people in his Brexit Party Ltd. who are willing to join him, leave Britain and live in Brussels for five months. All expenses paid for of course.

Is that it then?
So all these astute, politically aware, ethnically and sexually diverse folk on here who share their deepest and innermost thoughts with the rest of us are silenced by these modestly important events?
Or perhaps they've all firked off with the other one. Well if it was anything I said I hope I say it again soon.
