Although there's no data on it (as far as I know) it would seem the desert is more kind to the sub-Saharan refugees than the sea.

Well every silver lining has a cloud.
I suppose we should have a whip round and pass this manky sjw the proceeds, she has done us all a favour, no more taxi services for illegal migrants, they tell me they are having a party in Italy tonight.

FWIW rubl I am a beneficiary of maritime law regarding vessels in distress, having once been "collected" from a lifeboat in the Indian Ocean. The engine room on the original ship being ablaze. But all's well that ends well. Good lord man, dont go breaking the official secrets act, was that in your ira gun running days, or when you part of the Mad Mitch mercenary brigade?

Too much honour, my dear rott, not my words.
Had you watched and listened to the clip you'd know it was John Wayne himself who said that.

I thought you were back on topic. But while you are off and before I report you to himself for this infraction does your long-winded post imply that they are actually etymological sheepshaggers? Short answer: no Longer answer: In 2017 there were more than 10 million sheep in Wales, but that's just 33% of sheep in Britain en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheep_farming_in_Wales Welsh do not need their sheep to be virgins with virgin wool.

Sorry, nothing dodgy at all rgs. I was just another grockle on the Achille Lauro en route from Genoa to Durban. Living in South Africa, been home and booked the return on the ship. Not really a problem but would rather not do it again.

The "Achille Lauro" was a ship with an interesting history "MS Achille Lauro was a cruise ship based in Naples, Italy. Built between 1939 and 1947 as MS Willem Ruys, a passenger liner for the Rotterdamsche Lloyd, she was hijacked by members of the Palestine Liberation Front in 1985. In other incidents, she also suffered two serious collisions (in 1953 with the MS Oranje and in 1975 with the cargo ship Youseff) and four onboard fires or explosions (in 1965, 1972, 1981, and 1994). In the last of these, in 1994, the ship caught fire and sank in the Indian Ocean off Somalia." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Achille_Lauro

Yes I remember the last bit. Not long after a 50 million refit. Cause of fire never eastablished, could even have been a cigarette.
I was told that it/she spent WWII on the sea floor somewhere having been scuttled to evade the hun.

From this page seanmunger.com/2015/10/07/star-crossed-voyager-the-sad-career-of-the-ms-achille-lauro/This is raw AP News footage of passengers being evacuated from the Achille Lauro during its final fire, November 30, 1994.

Yes I remember the last bit. Not long after a 50 million refit. Cause of fire never eastablished, could even have been a cigarette. I was told that it/she spent WWII on the sea floor somewhere having been scuttled to evade the hun. I found this old clip (Dutch spoken) which tells a bit of the begin of the M.S. Willem Ruys which was later sold and renamed Achille Lauro. The Nazies prohibited finishing the ship, it remained in Vlissingen. Explosives put on board were secretly disabled by shipyard workers Kees Jopse and Willem Andriesse. Late 1944 the lifeboats were used as public transport service as that part of the Netherlands was inundated. Also the salt-to-sweet water installation in the hulk was used. The ship was finished and baptised "Willem Ruys". Willem Ruys was the director of Rotterdamsche Lloyd who in 1942 was arrested as hostage and later executed.
