And here's a picture of the ship and its cargo of fine, upstanding young gentlemen who will greatly enrich European culture by extending multiculturalism:

Embarkation of the Pilgrim Fathers at Delfshaven. They will bring joy and multiculturalism to the Americas like the Spanish and Portugese did before. I guess the common features of both kinds of migration is that the lives of the native peoples got worse. Of course, the natives in America couldn't fight back, which was unfortunate for them. In the West, we could fight back, but our elective representatives won't, which is unfortunate for us. In the case of the Americas, the primitive savages lost. In the case of Europe, it looks like the primitive savages are winning.

If I remember correctly the Welsh weren't too fond of the invaders either. They're still around even though they're called 'stranger' in their own country. Welsh culture is also very much alive.
Shows the many possibilities.

I am aware of "sheepshagger" but "stranger" is a new one. No doubt they deserve it anyway.

Back on topic, I just saw some remarks that the captain may be in real troubles because
. white . German . rich . female
None of that sits well with the Italians it's suggested.

I am aware of "sheepshagger" but "stranger" is a new one. No doubt they deserve it anyway. "The names "Wales" and "Welsh" are traced to the Proto-Germanic word "Walhaz" meaning "foreigner", "stranger", "Roman", "Romance-speaker", or "Celtic-speaker" which was used by the ancient Germanic peoples to describe inhabitants of the former Roman Empire, who were largely romanised and spoke Latin or Celtic languages.[20] The same etymological origin is shared by the names of various other Celtic or Latin peoples such as the Walloons and the Vlachs, as well as of the Swiss canton of Valais. The modern Welsh name for themselves is Cymry, and Cymru is the Welsh name for Wales. These words (both of which are pronounced [ˈkəm.rɨ]) are descended from the Brythonic word combrogi, meaning "fellow-countrymen"." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_people

I thought you were back on topic.
But while you are off and before I report you to himself for this infraction does your long-winded post imply that they are actually etymological sheepshaggers?

Short answer: no Longer answer: In 2017 there were more than 10 million sheep in Wales, but that's just 33% of sheep in Britain en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheep_farming_in_Wales

By popular request back to the topic: "Italian judge orders release of ship captain who rescued refugees ... Rackete was questioned for three hours in court on Monday over allegations that she had rammed a military vessel which was trying to prevent her bringing the migrants to port on Friday. She apologised to the court and said the collision had been an accident. ..." sg.news.yahoo.com/more-1m-raised-rescue-ship-121312260.htmlPS may we move a wee bit off topic making remarks on women drivers?

An accident, well that's OK then.
Did I read correctly or not (somewhere) that the sole purpose of her vessel is to collect struggling and shipwrecked "migrants"?

Well, assuming that's true and why should we doubt that, it's clear that 'ramming military vessels' was not part of that purpose. So it was an accident. BTW Under maritime law ships are under an obligation to go to the aid of ships or boats in distress and attempt to rescue those whose lives are in danger.
