I used to read Chartchai a lot but I finally figured out that he's gone overboard with his pessimism, he is after all a columnist so that kind of negative news sells copy. Ambrose Pritchard Evans in the UK is exactly the same, he's a world class economist but you need anti-depressants' after reading any of his columns. The bottom line for me is that Chartchai admits that the BOT is running a safe ship and that the future economy is safe. Despite that, he reminds us that this or that terrible event COULD POSSIBLY happen, you notice how people like him never ever tell us all the wonderful things that also could happen, that's because those things are don't sell copy!

PS pity the "Toby Jugs" on Silom closed, 10 maybe 15 years ago. They had an interesting collection.
