I've brushed my teeth with 'Darkie' before, but must admit the result with 'Darlie' is so much better, psychologically speaking that is. Darlie not only takes care of your teeth but also soothes the mind.

I was suspended on another forum for using the word 'Gollywog' in a none racist way. Doesn't surprise me actually. It did surprise me. Well the wording of the suspension was the surprising part. I was told that the suspension was for constantly spamming the board with the word Golliwog, although it was the first time that I had used the word on the forum.

What I mean is they come up with whatever reason they want. As stupid and ridiculous and pathetic as they are.

Bet it wasn't as surprising as being banned for 30 days for stating what you favourite Thai rodent was, in thread entitled "what is your favourite Thai rodent" if you recall we spent nearly a week trying to find out what rule we had had violated and no one would give a reason... Maybe be I did deserve the suspense as I stated a Badger and as we all know a Badger scientifically, its not classed as a rodent, so maybe mine was for posting off topic and technically incorrect information, but they should have corrected my deficiencies in Zoological knowledge not suspend me, not everyone is Steve Erwin, or Richard Attenbourgh

Saturday morning cartoons in America during the 50s & early 60s were as racist as one could get...however to the gaggle of us "boomer" kids at the time we never had race relations on our minds & really didn't care much about skin colour.
So no the Gollywogs to me are not racist...unless they're made out to be by someone else's mindset.
Look up Heckle & Jeckle cartoons via Google....Hah!

There was little fat Chinese Buddha toy statues, also not considered racist. This really is a bête noire of mine. The Lord Buddha was never fat. The fat figure that many people ignorantly confuse with him is in fact that of an eccentric Chinese monk named Budai from the early 10th century CE. Good to see there's no PC speak creeping into your posts. Talking about bête noire on a gollwog thread! Then bringing up religion, fat people and Chinese.

'Baa baa black sheep' was banned as well, many good children's tomes were pulled on the basis of racist characters. There is a great debate ongoing in certain sectors over allowing some that are not racist but part of the fibre and culture of kids growing up. Kids are not born racist its they become racist as a product of their parents and society/environment which is a sad thing.

I look back at them sometimes with disbelief that the mods were so easily shaken by rodent names. I suppose that the fact that the entire moderating crew were worried about us exposing their Gerbiling ring had a lot to do with it.

This pretty much sums up my feelings towards other people and I can add a few more specifics to the authors "I don't care..." list...but this will do nicely... Attachment Deleted
