He's good, but the God of power chords would be Johnny Ramone surely?

Meant to be going to see Iron Maiden play soon. Actually I never was into them much and I don't even know when their concert is but I'll tag along. They had cool album covers.

I'd have to add Van Halens riffs in there somewhere and I like Metallicas work. Lets not forget Duane Eddy in the mix either.

Iron Maiden..and i know i will get crucified for saying this..... i have the opinion of them being a " derivative" of deep purple in many respects, the album covers are great but their music never really drew me in

I suppose i shouldnt have included 2 riffs each by AC/DC and the kinks given in both cases the riffs cited are very similar...ie the back in black riff is based on the highway to hell riff...maybe on purpose as a tribute to Bon Scott, the one i should have added is Black Sabbath - Paranoid...very iconic

This was back in the day, another band called Cold Chisel used the place also as a stomping ground as well as The Angels if you've ever heard of them?

Good gawd man, my old stomping grounds those bands. I grew up on them. Sydney though.
The burning of the Star Hotel attributed to the mass hysteria.

And another.
Both examples of rhythm guitar, power chords leading.
