Good gawd man, my old stomping grounds those bands. I grew up on them. Sydney though. The burning of the Star Hotel attributed to the mass hysteria. My favourite Sydney band was and still is the Hard Ons. I have a couple of their records (vinyl) and they have gone up in value. Not that I'd sell. I have old LP's at my mum's place from AC/DC, Cold Chisel, ABBA, America, Neil Young, Meatloaf so many and I will never part with them or those memories. As a teen used to dress up as Agnetha from ABBA with my friends and sing this stuff. Best thing I can sing on KTV here if they have it . I have the velvet pantsuit still, though fitting into it is a problem.

So good they even made a song about it, is this from Swingshift? Only decent band out of Sydney were The Church. Best concert venue in Oz, The Thebby, proper old skoll type place.

He's good, but the God of power chords would be Johnny Ramone surely? What came first, the chicken or the egg? Joey was ok, but he was one dimensional, he never wrote or played anything like this.

And the ultimate of mixing both, power chords and lead guitar. Be careful when buying CDs etc, I have the original Concert series Hendrix recordings, they are way more collectible and wanted than later issues, because they are uncompressed, got to love those Japanese, they love their music, every man should head to Tokyo if you are into music.

And another. Both examples of rhythm guitar, power chords leading. A Japanese only issue, make sure you have the OBI, the vinyl sounds even better.

I am glad i rechecked it was Trix who said she dressed up as Agnetha as a kid, for a minute i thought the baht bus queen had invaded the BM, or Tony had let out one of his "secrets" by mistake

Tony, Soutpeel, you haven't lived until you don a purple pantsuit and dance to ABBA. Fun great times those. I've got pics of this somewhere let me have a look .

Darkness, darkness, be my pillow Take my head and let me sleep In the coolness of your shadow In the silence of your deep Darkness, darkness, hide my yearning For the things I cannot be Keep my mind from constant turning Toward the things I cannot see now Things I cannot see now Things I cannot see Darkness, darkness, long and lonesome Ease the day that brings me pain I have felt the edge of sadness I have known the depth of fear Darkness, darkness, be my blanket Cover me with the endless night Take away, take away the pain of knowing Fill the emptiness of right now Emptiness of right now, now, now Emptiness of right now Darkness, darkness, be my pillow Take my hand and let me sleep In the coolness of your shadow In the silence, the silence of your deep Darkness, darkness, be my blanket Cover me with the endless night Take away, take away the pain of knowing Fill the emptiness of right now Emptiness of right now, now, now Emptiness of right Oh yeah, oh yeah Emptiness, emptiness Oh yeah Songwriters YOUNG, JESSE COLIN
