If my contract is terminated and my workpermit associated with it also (automatically) and my non-B visum AND I have to leave the country within seven days, may I collect me 50% of 180 days salary in one go ? I promise to pay taxes over it  |

I went in there one night and ordered an entree and main meal and they brought me enough food to feed a small army. Ended up giving some of it to an elderly couple from the UK who were eating at the next table. Best food I have had in ages and not that expensive. Is it still there ? |

I read somewhere that the Thai unemployment system works like the system used in the USA, where you pay into a fund and if you lose your job you are paid a certain amount of money a month until the fund runs dry. Doubt if this applies to people who work on farms etc, but more likely for people employed by banks and big companies like Toyota, Samsung etc. Most of the Thai people I know never seem to be out of work for long, you hear about them losing their job and they seem to pick up another one soon after. Humans being what they are there are bound to be lazy dolts out there who don't want to work but I didn't think unemployment was a big problem in Thailand. I bet Australia would love to have the same unemployment rate that LOS has. Imagine the money they would be raking in via tax every week ! |
