If bm pulls up its socks, it could move closer to the center of the universe...just sayin'

^^^, , please excuse me while I pick myslef up off the floor. Over elsewhere there is some poor deluded soul telling stories about how he earns 100,000 baht per month in the ME. Sorry  , if you were a proper teacher on a proper contract, you would be earning at least 4 times that amount. Bless them. Why would anyone go to The ME for 2k a month? ...mostly the inexperienced, undereducated and generally ignorant: a Scot I knew in Riyadh was quite happy on USD1800 a month with free (shared) housing, 2 weeks off a year and no taxes...most others are on far more lucrative and less demanding contracts... |

The solution is in your hands. Why not see if you can take the old AF site over or build your own version of the site. Thus if you act in a positive fashion the sun will shine yet again in your dimmer world. Just think how ''curtaintwitchers ajarn forum'' would light up your day and subsequently your life too.  |

It is a sad day when any forum dies. Not being a teacher (well a TEFL one anyway)....and with the quality of my typing I had no interest in joining that one.
I think that a multitude of forums makes the world richer. They are not all perfect and some of the members do deserve all the criticism they get however I am a member of three and find something of interest in each of them. Sadly the biggest one has faded to a poor shadow of its past, although even then it was not a perfect place. I have noticed an increase in sensible posts on the wooden forum lately though maybe as a result of the click baiting.
I do not like to see any shut down. They are part of peoples community network and all the members have a few on each forum they consider part of their circle of if not friends people who share a common situation. The loss of a forum has impacts on all its members and is not really a laughing matter.

Gonna be honest, this forum isn't much better. I posted something a bit personal a few weeks ago... someone called 'Shadow' moves it into some apparent secret room called 'verdant' that only certain members can be invited to. Then I ask to be moved into the room to see my post and I am not allowed to enter even after a few days. Then someone called Siampolee tells me that I should be able to be put in this room by 'Arrow' and then nothing happens. So I leave the forum. Then I get this message from Siampolee that I can delete my profile/posts on here if I want. Well that is not really what I want to do. I don't like crooked admin/mods and I certainly won't put any effort into posting if my stuff is going to be removed. The few people that post here is as cliquey if not moreso than Ajarn. A few good members left here like Blether , etc.
