Ajarn forum is a bunch of old men who basically want to hear each other talk only ( a small inclusive group) and basically are bullies, and trolls.
I think Seb knows how they are. So as far as I'm concerned they can all go <duck> each other. And perhaps there are people from here that post there, so go tell the world. I'm at the point where I don't give a rat's ass anymore.

It's certainly an odd place. I've said this before but if they reaction that they give posters with differing views then I truly feel sorry for their students. I guess critical thinking is out of the question! It seems like it is an old boys club rather than an open forum, as you also noted. When it comes to anything educational the topic is rather repetitive: my school has wronged me, my classes won't give me the respect I deserve, the Thais are plotting and I make more money than you. A bunch of bullies stuck in a rut.

I feel like I wasted so much time there trying to be nice and fit in and I was either ignored or insulted in most threads. I give up. I had an out with one member and when I confronted him all the other guys ganged up even ones I didn't expect. A beehive, sheep like mentality. I thought I would be valued for having an opinion and the fact that I've been on there so long, but I am wrong. So, I give up. I don't want to be on a forum where I'm not appreciated. Their loss anyway. Hope you are well Seb.

It shouldn't be called ajarn forum because it isn't even about teaching for the most part and if they are teachers... That is even more sad.

You mean it took you ten years to figure out that place is for losers, sexpats, nutjobs and stalkers and is not a teaching forum?
A place where a select protected few can have a mutual circle jerk off and that's about it. I'm not bitter about <Bunny boiler> being banned from there this is just fact. Anyone with half a brain reading the board can see that. Why do you think they blocked many areas from public view unless you are logged in?
If it was vanilla useful for teachers it would be open, since when do teachers use the type of language you see on there as there is no forum click for eff words, c words and other profanities you see used there frequently. Since when is it ok to stalk people and go vitriolic attacks? Charming stuff. Even freakdoor has more respect for posters and Umb does nothing about it. He's about as useful as a third tit.
The good posters have left or have been banned and the clowns are running the show.
This place is the best I've ever posted on, it's a gem.

I'll give you a few examples of a 'teacher'. Guy in his sixties currently in Inner Mongolia teaching with a much younger Thai wife. Has a thread on there about his extensive experiences in BKK establishments of a blow job nature. Quite detailed I may add, raised my eyebrows and that takes a lot to do. Anyway, several pulled him up and asked if everything was OK in his marriage. Fair question. He went on to say that all was good and his wife was OK with it as she didn't like sex. There is another thread same author similar topic, another poster 8 ball bollocks and he were discussing in detail same topic of blow jobs, I mean come on. Then there is the Prego King also married claiming to be on 90k/month with pics of himself in a swimming pool with Thai 'ladies' and the 8 ball bollocks guy. They're just friends of course.  For comedy gold the IceBox is great. Yes I do have eyes in the place but I'm just a watcher not a participant. |

Yeah, I'd rather not bash certain members, because really that is not who I am. I never really judged people for the lifestyle they chose. I was upset that they didn't value me , rather insulted or ignored for the most part. But, whatever, I am a tough person, but really and truly how fair is it when it is ten against one? I mean, I deserve more respect for everything I have offered (advice, teaching stuff, comfort) etc.
I think most of these forums are the same to be honest. Time for a forum break. Unlike most of the posters over there who post almost 24/7, I do have a life. Where I teach more than 40 hours a week, tutor after school, etc.

None of this quick share of work in the back of a school van on the way to school like here. |

I think smokie is going to be 19 and desperate to move to Thailand and get his first teaching job.
I might even be a bubbly her if that makes a difference.
