On a quick head count - about 40 men and two women have had their finger on the nuclear button since WW2 and none have pressed it.
Metaphorically speaking, Buhi is gibbering a lot of sanctimonious, self-serving crap.
And trying to cloak it in philosophical double-speak.

The thread ain't about female bosses - it's about you holding a grudge. That reminds me of a Tweet I saw, said something like - "a lot of sports don't like using female umpires because they penalise players for infringements that occurred five years ago" And buhi, if you haven't worked out this male/female thing yet you probably never will. But I will give you some advice, it's all about give and take, loving each other for what you are not what you want the other to be, and accepting the fact that we are different animals. kissing smiley and remembering give and take do not need to be equal

Interesting article here while we are on the subject of nukes (probably more interesting than grudges etc anyway) I spent four months travelling around Vietnam and took an interest in the country's history, especially the wars it had been through. They took on anyone who wanted to duck with them, the Americans, French, Chinese etc. and usually came out on top. www.bbc.com/news/magazine-27243803

That's why the UK didn't get involved in Vietnam, they knew it was destined to end in failure.

The UK was smart enough to realise that war was "created" by the USA, namely the CIA, and it's only purpose was to satisfy certain factions who needed/wanted a war.
While I was in Vietnam I read a book written by an ex-CIA case officer called Ralph McGehee, "Deadly Deceits: My 25 Years in the CIA".
Amazing first-hand account of the lengths the CIA went to in order to create the illusion that became The Vietnam War. (The Vietnamese refer to it as the American War)
From Wiki -
"In his 1983 book, Deadly Deceits: My 25 Years in the CIA,[50] McGehee recounts his duties as a intelligence agent. For several decades he was assigned to East Asia, performing in the field and at CIA stations in Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Details of the practices and techniques of a CIA case officer are given. He shows how he gradually changed his view of the Agency. CIA operations in many cases damage the people affected, and overall results are often negative for America, our allies, or the world. CIA intelligence can be altered or pitched so that political purposes frequently trump the accurate information.[51] Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair praised it as "one of the outstanding books written by former CIA agents".[52][53] The book was published again in 1999 with updates."

Yes, all the time when I taught in Thailand. As the head honcho of several companies she was anything but meek and mild. Great boss, polite yet very straight talking and knew how to deal with people- be they expat or Thai thanks to being educated overseas. Not sure who the boss is in Myanmar- rumors of a military connection but I have been treated very well, so no complaints from me.

I prefer femininity to masculinity, probably because I am a man. Men shout and rage and resort to violence. A woman is more considerate and less likely to threaten with physical force. Yes she will to defend her child, but not to defend her unspeakable ideas. That is the realm of men, who will resort to violence when the argument is lost.

Why ,let's say 50% are female and if you teach, the girls are superior mostly, with regard to learning, listening and unless encouraged, silent. The silent majority. Of those that break the glass ceiling , it is they who have learnt to be masculine.

I miss my old boss. Too add, she was also very hands on- taught a few classes herself- not one of these ivory tower types. Contrary to common practice in Thailand she'd let us fail kids or give low grades if the evidence supported it. Contrasted with the moron who was my boss at a mall language school on the weekends- ex navy, bad tempered- particularly when multilingual kindergartners showed up his IQ . One day he got it into his head that he should have a go at this teaching malarkey; within 15 minuets the kids decided he was a better climbing frame than a teacher. Boy, did he blow a gasket that time. Hilarious for all apart from him

Fantastic spoken English and general understanding, but phonetically decoding words for them is real struggle. Gender has nothing to do with it. Despite this, they are more multilingual than I will ever be. Chuck in they're never ending optimism, cheerfulness and resilience and you have a winning combo.I see a lot of ceilings being broken in 20 years time.

This is Thailand based. Hence the rub. No, not Thailand based, worldwide. To succeed <Bunny boiler> you have had to adopt male characteristics and become far stronger than a male, intellectually, not by showing your muscles. Hence I prefer your arguments to the smash your face in brigade. But as a woman, no decent man would confront you physically.

Disagree. The brain/mentality/intelligence is not governed by anything else besides personality.
Character.
More later.
