Had a woman boss once. She was previously my apprentice, and physically incapable of doing the job. So like the site did they promoted her out of the way. I'd get a lot of bite marks on my tongue.

In most societies that would not be so. Why is it a big deal that Hi Shiilary is standing for president? Why was it no big deal that May became prime minister? She was not the first , the glass ceiling had been broken. Correct me if I am wrong, but Patana has never had a female principle. Right now the head of primary is a woman, the first I think. She was assistant principle before reaching the top position. We are friends by the way, as assistant it was she who phoned me early in the morning, 6 am to ask if I could cover. The assistant now is a male, nice guy. The head of school is male, from New Zealand, also a nice guy. The founder of Patana was indeed a woman and that set a foundation of gender equality. Not so in most schools and for sure not true years ago when I was teaching in England. I did work as a deputy to a woman,probably part of the reason was that in interview it was quite clear I was not sexist and happy to be deputy to a woman. (I nearly wrote under a woman). |

You and I know it as more imported Amerikan shoit by the "progressive thinking" "lefty liberals" Years later, PC BS, legislation and Fem Nazis still havent yet come up with the answer, why do little girls want to be nurses and little boys want to be firemen? Coming from a production background it was hilarious to see grown men down tools and tell the "boss" you are in charge, tell us what you want us to do? Educated idiots promoted way beyond their means, never mind kept some box ticker in a job. |

I had this feeling something was missing, it was her. Before lunch we had been on a job. I had diagnosed the problem, and was going to get the part from the stores after lunch. During lunch, the foreman came in with a priority job. So making sure she knew what to do, left her to do it. The job I went to to longer than expected. Any way back to Mavis (she looked like the Coronation St character). I ran up to the roof where the switch room was. She's still sat in front of the starter box. She could not dismantle the faulty part. 6 small screws. So I whipped them out, and held out my hand. What do you want? She asked. The new overloads would be nice I said. She hadn't got them. The store is closed, security who handle the stores at night. Are still manning the back gate. They will be for an hour more. I lost the plot at that point. I went ape. This was 2 months before she was a fully qualified. |
