^^^ I sort of agree, but why almost all positions of power are filled by males and those females who break through have to be tougher than males. It is not I Q, as females score higher.

^^^ Quick research, there is little difference between male and female I Q, which is what I suspected (knew). With only one female replying I conclude that more men, myself included, are loud mouths and pushy. The muscle factor. A male or female can now perform with weapons of destruction. Is the factor of male sensibility a factor in war?

On a quick head count - about 40 men and two women have had their finger on the nuclear button since WW2 and none have pressed it. Metaphorically speaking, Buhi is gibbering a lot of sanctimonious, self-serving crap. And trying to cloak it in philosophical double-speak. No double speak, just out in your face ideas. I prefer femininity to masculinity, probably because I am a man. Men shout and rage and resort to violence. A woman is more considerate and less likely to threaten with physical force. Yes she will to defend her child, but not to defend her unspeakable ideas. That is the realm of men, who will resort to violence when the argument is lost. Rubbish - almost all arguments end without violence, male or female. And hey, I've seen more female on female fights than I care to remember, or ever want to see again. You have a very nihilistic view of men.

This is Thailand based. Hence the rub. No, not Thailand based, worldwide. To succeed <Bunny boiler> you have had to adopt male characteristics and become far stronger than a male, intellectually, not by showing your muscles. Hence I prefer your arguments to the smash your face in brigade. But as a woman, no decent man would confront you physically. Och, fork off. What rubbish. To succeed, <Bunny boiler> had to adopt male characteristics? Pathetic. Every successful woman I know has a clear cut and consistent ethos. Whether it be managerial skill, supreme entrepreneurship, whatever. No one has blinked an eye in the UK about the elevation of Theresa May to PM, because she is recognized as being a good manager, good at her job, on top of her brief. There is nothing masculine about her, about my sisters, or the dozens of other women I know in high ranking jobs. They have mastered the skill of clear cut leadership. It's only dinosaurs like you that would regard that as being surrendering to masculinity. You are at the same time, a misandrist and a misogynist, Buhi - what a double act that is.

I'm a manager but I am humble in my take and treat all equally, from the cleaning ladies to the top notch folks.
I find male managers of the snobby 'I know everything there is to know about this and you can't tell me otherwise' a real pain in the arse. Same types that make unnecessary demands and find fault with everything because they are in a position of power and can call the shots.
Professionally you would think in HK this is an antiquated stereotype but it isn't. People thinking you're a pair of nice boobs and legs in a suit and are there as eye candy, not a thinking woman. They come and go these epms, if there is any trouble or egos need soothing I'm the first to call. I've worked in the Middle East, sent there to supervise, give them a rap on the knuckles or to shake them all up and tell them how it is supposed to be done. A male dominated society. You need to know how to deal with it on all levels or they don't want you back. Brunei, Malay and Sing the same.
I'm hardly a ballbuster or a narcissistic type, professionally you need to know your stuff, implement it well, be fair in your approach and treat all equally. It does go on personality a great deal. Heck I am no shrinking violet but neither am I someone so far up the career ladder I've lost track in the need to succeed.
I've done all I wanted to do in the curve and have wonderful support from family. I've worked with nasty bitches too who treated people like they mean nothing as long as they do their job and do it well. Shanghanese women would have to take the prize for that one. Most people though who are difficult to deal with have something going on in their private lives and they take it out professionally.
Years ago I had an offer to be someone's 38th wife, imagine that hahahahahahaha, I love my husband so no chance of that.

I was stating a fact, women have to be tougher than men to succeed and that should not be so. It is in your face everywhere, Thailand bloody adverts for cosmetics , the media image of a woman. I re read my posts and did state clearly that mostly I have had a woman as my boss and they far excelled the men I have worked with. Some plain truths . For eons women were not liberated and in most parts of the world I would say are not. You were a teacher, thus must know that in discussion the boys push and the teacher must encourage the girls to speak.Do not think I am saying anything new, text book stuff.

Patana in BKK is where we both were buhi. I was the radical one. No such thing when I was there. My friend's son Pibul was there. Actually the girls back then had more to say than the boys. Ads? Rubbish stuff.

The 'female' image is ever evolving the same as the male one is.
There is no 'conquest' there is who is the better for the position.

Rubbish stuff. Read more: bigmango.boards.net/thread/6256/woman-boss#ixzz4Girzwl00Agreed again, because of the philosophy of the school. When working there my boss was a woman, the children are treated equally, gender not an issue.Yes, the girls at Patana will speak out, have been in an excellent educational environment. That is not the norm. Not a valid argument. Hell even I cannot afford to send my child to Patana.
