Another song from my childhood- never put the lyrics together till I heard it again a few months ago. Women are strong, strong women are attractive IMO. Last thing I want is some meek, submissive housewife. Nice tune. Glad to know you are not in the kneel down, pat her on the head brigade. |

'Pat her on the head' has a double meaning.
A good friend of mine Uncle James, had some troubles some time back. I asked him if he ever 'went down' on a woman. He answered 'No way unless I have to'. Have to? So OK James, you like to pat her on the head and say thanks but not return the favour? There is no reciprocity in than.
He looked a little dumbfounded.
I won't expand further. Sexually women are not there to serve, it's all about a balanced relationship.

It's an improvement on Otis Redding's "You might as well cheat on me, because I'm sure going to cheat on you" original, but I've never really bought into the idea of a song about a woman waiting at home for her man and having to beg him for just a little bit of respect when he arrives as a feminist anthem.

But you know what, a lot of men, myself included, could not care less if every company in the world was run by a woman, if female sports stars made the same money as the men, and every government was made up of more women than men. If it ever does happen it will probably be a troll from "the other side" and I can't see the mods here tolerating it. I have seen some nasty shit posted by morons on other forums who seem to have it in for ladies, usually because they have been exposed by them for being scumbags.  |

Certainly correct concerning trolls on other sites who are allowed to get away with their comments due in the main to the attitudes of the the mods on those sites.
Gay mods , mods who are rather too fond of children and out and out misogynists with their assorted phobias concerning women and their power and opinions
Though most common in men, misogyny also exists in and is practiced by women against other women.
Note the posts made in another place by a Swiss Miss against another female and also the attacks on NancyL by both male and female posters, althoughNancyL is not my favourite poster her heart is in the right place.
Misogyny is an ideology or belief system that has existed in male-dominated societies for thousands of years and places women in subordinate positions with limited access to power and decision making.
The times they are a changing, or in truth that old saying ''The hand that rocks the cradle rules the Earth'' is a true fact.
We say ''Mother Earth,'' a ship is always a ''she'' it keeps its men safe on the ocean just a couple of examples of the true power of our womenfolk, just note that many creeds and beliefs put woman, mothers etc up on a high altar of respect.
