Some years ago in Australia all pubs had to have a public bar. It was generally the cheapest price and had the lowest levelof facilities and it was when men went after work, often in their work gear to discuss world events with their friends. It was a place where the language could be fruity and sometimes physical though this was controlled by the barkeeper who would tell miscreants "You F. B....s will be out of here if you do not F. well stop F...ing around.. Women were not allowed. They were allowed in other parts of the hotel and even though prices were generally higher they werre often reduced to public bar prices for women. Came a time that was good enough ...women had to be admitted to public bars. Fine....but then they insisted on dress improvements so that working class men could not go in in their singlets. A little later language so that the poor gentle ladies would not be offended by it. It ended the public bar. It is the same in many workplaces. A women enters and everyone's behavior has to change to suit the ladies. Men do not go into a ladies hairdresser and insist that the barber does not ask after the haircut...."And will you be needing anything more for the weekend Sir." Sorry ladies I will accept you as my equal when you accept me as yours and do not try to impose your standards on all.

The first part sounded about right, re' the Public Bar, but then towards the end of your comment I was lost. ( I'm surprised you did not mention the fact that a lot of pubs also had a Ladies Lounge which was supposed to be ladies only and where the language could be just as colourful as the "front bar" )

It is true.....the behavior in the ladies lounge was certainly not always of what is thought of as ladylike.

( I'm surprised you did not mention the fact that a lot of pubs also had a Ladies Lounge which was supposed to be ladies only and where the language could be just as colourful as the "front bar" ) I could also add that I worked at the steelworks in Whyalla once at a time where they had an inspection by a group of women to decide on what jobs women could be employed in. There was a rather light but dirty job in the Reclaimer but this was decided by the women to be much too dirty for women. Instead they selected all the Nice jobs generally done as a reward for many years of hard service in poor conditions such as plant room operator. I did not add this because I did not want to make the comment to broad. It is just another example of the more equal than equal demanded by some.

Ultimate girl power song Unfortunatly, these Thai forums are dominated by males who don't often respect women posters. Hope you are not including this forum, have yet to see any male posters here disrespecting the ladies. If it ever does happen it will probably be a troll from "the other side" and I can't see the mods here tolerating it. I have seen some nasty shit posted by morons on other forums who seem to have it in for ladies, usually because they have been exposed by them for being scumbags. Absobloodylutely. Usually they expose themselves then run crying mummy when I stick the boot in and rub their faces in it. Well not just me, others. Recent thread on freakdoor where the pothead with the fake degree names me and I haven't posted there in months. Hilarious.

Women rule the world! No they don't. Someone has fed you a load of bs. But you know what, a lot of men, myself included, could not care less if every company in the world was run by a woman, if female sports stars made the same money as the men, and every government was made up of more women than men. Bring it on, let me know how you get on. And your comment reminded me of a famous piece of graffiti from back in the seventies, obviously penned by a women's libber or a guy with a sense of humour - " There is no equality ! Women are better ! " Was a joke.... but if Hillary gets in.....

I would not want to be part of a ladies only forum. I find it fun at times to hear differing points of view of a variety of people both male and female. And yes, being on a woman only forum would be too gossipy and cat fighty for meee!

I think there needs to be standards of a certain level of respect.. like you are not going to smack a woman in a bar. It works both ways too!

I once saw a world famous musician give his wife a smack in a busy Thai bar.
Disgraceful behaviour....great musician but poor quality husband material...apart from the shoe budget of course.
