Check out the blog that goes with this... I've read about how crickets are the new superfood - a protein replacement for red meat that has but a minor fraction of the carbon footprint. So environmentalist me is all for eating crickets. Real life me- ugggh- it's a bug! Nicki brought two bags of them for the road trip we're on, and I learned something about eating them... The oldies in my village who eat crickets still have a six pack stomach, unlike this oldie who doesn't.

As I say in the early part of this video, I wanted to make it different. I mean, I've done hundreds of travel videos over the years, and whereas I recognize that I do a certain thing and that's my style, I was getting bored with making the same type of video year after year, country after country, all using the same editing techniques with different music and content. What could I do differently?
Well, I'm still working on that. This is kinda like a lot of other videos I've made but with one big difference: Nicki Rangoon.

^^^^ just give us them uncut, warts and all, too may of these idiots try to portray themselves as slick and professional if truth be told they are just recycling the same old shit we have seen before, yours are unique, and for that I am thankful.

However the background music went from being pleasant to being a distraction. Oldies 20 baht worth.

You know there’s one thing about walking down a city street with Nicki Rangoon, my 6’0” TG gf, is that if she’s walking in front of me, nobody is looking at me. And that’s just fine. You see, pale-skinned foreigners are a rare sight outside of the tourist areas of Myanmar, and so the people here naturally watch me wherever I go. Stare at me,even. This somewhat provincial behavior doesn’t really bother me. You wouldn’t last long being a foreigner anywhere in SE Asia if it did. Having Venus-like, full-hipped, wavy-haired goddess sauntering through the crowded street market in front of me – every head turns. Even though I was in a dusty little border town, somehow, nobody was interested in the white guy following behind. More here

Part 4 of my recent trip to the border town of Myawaddy. What was supposed to be just a bus ride was made different first by the presence of my precocious and aggressive girlfriend and also by the delay. I complain about the dealy at 1:05 in the vid. You'll see the impressive wreckage at 1:35 that caused me to miss not just one, but two northbound trains out of Bago.

Part 5 has me in Tangoo, the fifth time I've visited this scenic, old town. There's a blog that goes with this video.

Some say, you've seen one temple, you've seen them all. I disagree.

Merry Christmas to my Mango friends. 2018, part one of two... and part three (to be made in the next week or so) may be the most interesting...
