There is a line a clear demarcation between one pack and the other.
They snarl and show their teeth at the border.
They cross it to test, all hell lets out, they retreat behind the line, snarling.
It goes on every day.

All are mongrel, no colour distinction.
Some are (most) are from the same female bitch I knew years ago. Inter bred since then, new blood in, but the core on both sides are the same family.
An observation.

Our beach had packs....but it also had the daddy of em all who no other dog would approach.
This dog loved kids and swimming in the sea with them but woe betide any other dog who crossed his path.
Used to walk me home at 3am too....great dog.

I like the last post, as the daddy in the soi.
The new blood.
Of two sons; both live here, one biologically mine, the other adopted by me, the mother's son, my wife's son.
Events described on other posts resulted from this.
I treat them both the same, always have done.
One is jealous, but clings.
He made some very bad choices.
Is now schizophrenic. Perhaps he always was . That would relieve me of the guilt.

All the dogs in this soi are related to her. I was not using allusion, a dog, brown and white. One who had no fear of me, one we fed. |

I sit at the family home, observe. All are related, distant , but related. Wife's ex, family live there, my blood son is related to all in the soi. Pedigree. |

Watching the day to day life on our soi is one of my favourite pastimes, as I walk the length of it countless times almost every day during my walking regime. It's 170 mtrs from the end of our soi down to where soi 4 ends, so it's easy to keep track of the kms. (6 x 170 = 1020 mtrs or near enough to 1 km) Lots of local dogs in that area to keep me amused. The other day our 4 legged neighbour Mi Poo was sitting in the middle of the soi staring at another dog who sat in the middle of the soi as well about 50 mtrs away. This staring contest lasted for ages, they were like statues. Not sure who won but later on they were getting on well enough, so there were no grudges held.  |
