1995 I suffered a breakdown. No did not go on a rampage killing people. Became introspective. When not in therapy i was at the pub. Writing, it was my release. I wrote an anthology, lost now, the 1995 diary. I destroyed it. It was a poem for each . I wrote one a day and they were not flattering. I gave a copy to each of the individuals I wrote about. Some laughed and were not offended. Others, were deeply insulted. Those insulted were laughed at by those not offended. Well it is gone, my minor piece. I do have the 1996 diary, but that is all Thailand. Quite a read too. Not to be published.

In 1995 I went to Glastonbury in the summer and Goa for the winter.
Life was one long beach trance event in paradise.

I was also arrested (and released without charge) 3 times during 1995, all were drink related.

1995 I was working in The Asylum, I think I went to Lloret De Mar that year on holiday with my Nursing colleagues, though it was a rather blurry three weeks, and a detox that followed

I'm presuming that you were driving the trucks on the new airport project, did you also know Mitch? He was also driving the Komatsu trucks (around the same time as you) until he ran over an Indian/Pakistani, who should not have been in the area. Eventually he was cleared in court over manslaughter charges and found innocent.

Yes Mitch was a good mate and I learned how to drive the trucks on the same job, he was also staying at Ting Kau guest house at the time. They took his passport off him and made him wait for the trial. He was driving an International 360 Payhauler , only us daft boys drove those . This may well have been 94. Then somehow he became a submariner.

I also recall being hauled up in front of the Hospital Trusts CEO due to an excessive party in the nurses accomodation; i had only moved in 2 weeks before and was marked as a ring leader. Trying to keep a straight face while being bollocked by the accomodation officer was pretty difficult, and then a few days later bumping into the CEO who said"next time you decide to hold an allnight party and trash the place, invite me". I knew i was gonna fit in after that.

1995, just a year back from a five year stint in Germany, it took me a long time to adjust to life in Scotland. My third child was born that year, and the work high point was working in my father's engineering company along with my uncles. Great to get to know them in a work setting.
