That's what it is about. Keep tuned. Turn experience in to a novel, a poem, a painting, art, share. I laugh too, surprise, but a knowing laugh. That was one hell of a year. There were fun times, releases, but I knew my responsibilities. Lost my front tooth that night of confrontation. Pogues anyone. Have an implant now. Come let's laugh.

Furthest I've ridden was Chumpae to Chaiyapum on my Sam lor. That's about 400kms I think and I can tell you the seat needed extra padding. 220/230 kms is the furthest I've been so far - I think I could do 100 km more but that would be it. The idea for me is to saunter and take photos. On the longer journeys I tend to speed up, which is stupid. The drive up here was wet and showery too, once I got beyond halfway, and that's not enjoyable. .......................... I was in Chaiyapum last year, and in a couple of villages in the vicinity. Interesting experience, I've mentioned the resorts springing up down that way. It's also where I caught a virus from hotel air conditioning, and that set me off on the first of three successive viruses. Not a good month in my life. Slow and easy is the way, it's hard work riding long distances even more so on Thai roads. Riding the Sam lor is a little easier because it balances itself on 3 wheels but I was stuffed by the time we got there. I ended up leaving the thing at my sil house and it's still there until one of them rides it back for me Dancealot came to the village once and we took it out through some out of the way roads it all went well until he stalled it doing a u turn in front of an oncoming sugar truck fully loaded. It was the look on his girlfriend's face that sent me into panic

It must have been uncomfortable if it felt like 400km, it is actually about 100km according to Google maps. Edit - Chumpae would be the most lifeless and boring place I have ever been to in Thailand, and I have been to a lot of towns. Clocked up 100,000km in my Isuzu pickup alone.

^^ I would love something like that, would be great for going shopping and just generally cruising around. Told my wife a few years ago we should buy a tuk-tuk.

I bought it because I don't live there and don't own a car there. I use my bil car sometimes but use the Sam lor just for going to the markets for food or the shop to put a box of beer in the back. Handy to have and not expensive to buy new
