Couple of years ago missus and I flew down to BKK, she booked a hotel online, Soi 21 or 22, off Suk. When we got there I thought Oh no ! as we were the only ones there who were NOT Indian or Pakistani. Went up to 4th floor, elevator and hallway carpet smelled like stale p**s, room had a musty smell but was bareable, just. Did my best to get drunk enough that night to sleep through it, but could hear other guests ranting and raving til all hours outside our room. Isn't this all rather racist? Aren't you suggesting that Indians and Pakistanis make the hallway smell like stale p**s and give the room a musty smell? Indians and Pakistanis ranting and raving "til all hours"? You're "I thought Oh no ! as we were the only ones there who were NOT Indian or Pakistani" is clear indication of some deep, ingrained racial prejudice. You should be deeply, profoundly ashamed of yourself. Frankly, I find your racism disgusting - stomach turning, even. Perhaps you should learn to be more tolerant and accept that people from different cultures behave in different ways. It's all part of life's rich tapestry Got to be careful with these Aussies, Mick was having a racist dig at black cars as well to day

Stinking hotels and fast cars are fair game as far as I am concerned. Could not care less who is behind the wheel or making the carpets smell funny.

The rat in my room at a hotel in Mae Sot liked it so much it came back. Next morning, p**sed off about the wifi not working, I had a go about the rat to the head receptionist. "Rat in my room. You told me the room was clean." "The rooom is clean, you can see." "But what about the rat?" "Old hotel, has many rats. You asked about clean room, you did not ask about have rat."

Indeed a response worthy of any top grade politician or a hotel keeper.

Well the guy has a point blether, he said the room was clean, he did not say it was "rat free".

Checking into one of the few hotels in Sangkuburi decades ago, stinking hot. "Do you have hot showers and aircon?" "Yes Sir we do". Off to the room we go, aircon and hot shower as promised. So we head off, returning after dinner to a hot room with cold shower and no power. I head down to reception "You said you have hot shower and aircon and now we can't even run a fan" "No Sir. You had hot shower and aircon as promised when you checked in. But generator noisy at night so we stop it". I had to laugh. Theoretically they didn't lie.
