After a couple of drinks. I find myself in a reflective mood and share some thoughts about living the country life.  You are too young and intelligent to be living in the ass end of nowhere. When you get back to Bkk, get yer ass to a proper Thai language school, and dont give excuses about tones, its all about context. One thing I have learned over the years, not every Thai speaks proper Thai all the time. If you intend living here full time, you really should make an effort to learn the language, for myself, I felt embarrassed about being nothing more than a special needs child, having to have my mrs translate and read everything for me. Not mentioned, the freedom it gives both me and the mrs, if the gas bottle goes empty, I phone the store and have them deliver a new one, no need to wait for the mrs, it makes life so much simpler. |

Not everyone likes these forum things, but some people are getting quite p**sed with facebook, so they look for alternatives. They could go to Troll city (Thai Visa) but we all know what that place is like. I also need to find out what's wrong with my notification settings here because I didn't get an email saying that there was a reply to this thread. Quite odd that  |

Quite odd that Pls let me expalin, your notification was sent by pigeon post, out servers have picked up on the fact you live in the boonies of Bkk. Any truth to the story your pigeon was intercepted en route and BBQd are strongly denied by the owners of this forum. |

Quite odd that A long forgotten Yahoo music group forum I belong to has taken on a new lease of life, for exactly the reasons you mention. I dont use faceache, the mrs uses it as a way to keep up with family and friends, everything is blocked, she likes using the messenger utility and being able to phone friends for free when we are overseas. If you think Troll City is bad, , it pales into insignifance compared to some of the hate filled sites that are out there. |
