Nther bit of journalistic research, tb?? I found it easiest to remove myself from the company of those for whom I felt disdain. A certain residential hotel where I stayed seemed to attract a breed who were..... Ah, never mind - I am sure theblether has written a book about the place and its somewhat institutionalised inmates. Not all were (IMO) bad, I hasten to add: there were a few who were quite normal, but there was the spectrum of hopeless alkies, sex tourists, people who never went further than a kilometre or two from their ward cell room, apparently incapable of looking after themselves.
No, if there is any use in this thread at all it will be in connection with a fictional story. The kind of story where people sneak into management offices and submit letters of complaint about fellow expats then go sit in the bar and drink with them.

Totally unrelated, the poll shows 15 votes out of 15 voters. Isn't that a bit redundant, or would "No" be counted as another voter, but no vote?
I would hazard a guess that no one will admit to not regarding expats with disdain.
Which kinda proves my theory.

Come on rubl you've been here longer than that haven't you? It's a "system error" - you know where people could never knowingly be held responsible for stupid acts or statements: It should read "75 votes out of 15 voters, each having received 500 baht each from 3 different candidates"

I would almost say "been there, done that", but working at some of the banks here that could easily be misunderstood I'm afraid

So strange Ah yes, the Rippled Folorn - a species relatively unknown until more recent times. Usually to be found foraging in the meat and fruit sections of Tesco or Big C. Not normally aggressive but may hiss when approached or cornered by a mortal.

My opinion on that is that I make it clear to my readers that I don't live in LOS or intend to ever live in LOS.
And they still buy my books by their thousands.
Send me a pm and I'll teach you how to publish books.
