I would agree with you except for one important aspect, Trumpton and the Chinese chappie have been together in meetings in recent times, and maybe China has given their blessing to Trumpton to slap Lil Kim around a bit, Something is brewing as China Air has just suspended all flights from China to the glorious workers Republic of the North, was on the Beeb not 10 minutes ago, they know something is going down app.scmp.com/scmp/mobile/index.html#/article/2087773/desktopI doubt the Chinese agreed to invasion and I also doubt the 'nuke'm'. Maybe rewrite the "invade or nuke' into 'drop some impressive great, real great and loud bunker blasters' Didnt they try that in Panama with great bunker blaster speakers?

I'm at home. Wife left early with family to visit the stupas of ancestors. Son stayed with me until late afternoon, then went to be with his cousins to throw water. Just phoned wife, she answered, that was all i wanted to hear and son? "He is here,". 500 years? Wife and son home. Had a chat with son, no nothing serious. He had a good time, and we could be father and son. Wife paid respects with her family to the long dead (500 years?). Sometimes i just am lost for words. Maybe i will, but not now. The happiness of now.

The worrying part of all this is the fact if Trumpton has a go at Lil Kim what ever the method, the little fker will let everything he has got go, the missiles, chemical weapons and any other stuff he has, as he had nothing to lose Keep ya credit cards topped up and your favourite airline on speed dial, NK is only 3000 odd km away from Thailand

Let The Great Haircut have it, wheres the Jap/Korean alliance in all of this, oh how sorry, dont mention that bit of history. Wouldnt want to be booking a tour to Seoul right now, how about they stepped up to the plate and sorted out their own problems, can they actually afford to reintegrate the north into the south? After witnessing recent events in the south, I ask myself, is Sth Korea really a democratic country?

Maybe rewrite the "invade or nuke' into 'drop some impressive great, real great and loud bunker blasters' I have a friend who does business with Chinese army in that area. He says it's terrifying the manpower and weaponry they have there. Also said the commanders terrify him too. The Chinese army can and have closed that border when it suits them. Whoever mentioned floods of refugee's is talking crap. They won't get past the arced machine gun nests. The Chinese army is also the biggest business in that area. They buy in cheap coal on the side from NK, and forward it to factories at a stinging profit. Pal was telling me he was on the base and their was a mix of Chinese and NK "karaoke," girls there to service the officer class. The unlucky one's service the conscripts. They control the human trafficking, the alcohol trade, the forestries, they control everything. Why so many troops on that border? They are massed there to "invade," South Korea in the event of war. They could just as easily invade North Korea as an occupation army, and enforce regime change, the same way the Vietnamese did in Cambodia, China has made it clear they are sick of that clown. They even suspended the LEGAL coal imports in February. That was a remarkable move. China only wants NK as a bulwark against US forces in SK. A puppet government is the perfect instrument. Again, it wouldn't shock me if the two big boys have done a deal - with Trump promising to withdraw the missile system that China regards as being a threat.

Trump thinks he has the magic code to launch a nuclear attack, but I believe they have given him the login details for someone's Facebook account. Surely someone like him couldn't be able to play with nukes.

And I voted NO because the Chinese have got both Tronald Dump and large chunks of American money due by the balls. Of interest in a news feed comment today was the statement that possibly a conflict could or would be locally based, i e North Korea attacking South Korea which of course would re ignite the fuse of the 1950's Korean war.
A proxy war in someones else's back yard would no doubt suit all involved. Sadly though the whole Asian region is at risk yet again due to the American madman's rhetoric,as well as wobbly weebly fat boy's ranting rhetoric declaring he will annihilate the opposition etc etc.
He has in my view got into a shouting match and is totally out of his depth, the problem being is then like a cornered rat it will strike back in any way possible and be dammed as to the consequences. Truth be known there is internal pressure possibly family wise and in the innermost cadre the runs North Korea as well as the Chinese angle.
At the end of the day China controls the balance of power, however if fat wobbly weebly boy manages to slip the leash and get out of his padded ivory tower he will become totally uncontrollable due to a feeling that it has limitless powers.
In truth no one really has a clue as to what may or will happen, we can be assured though that wobbly weebly fat boy is not going to relinquish his dictatorial despotic grip on his power easily. War of words or war of ordinance or a perhaps a carefully orchestrated c Chinese political puppet master show.
Which one will or maybe the solution?
Worst comes to the worst wobbly weebly fat boy could always be re employed as a mod in the other place, his actions and tactics and track record certainly fill all the prerequisites for such a position.

A safer solution might be the covert assassination of Kim. The CIA has a lot of experience of this. One then hopes for a safer pair of hands steering the country, and fears for a total collapse of society.

A safer solution might be the covert assassination of Kim. The CIA Chinese have a lot of experience in that field. One then hopes for a safer pair of hands steering the country, and fears for a total collapse of society and world are dispelled. I would presume that has been considered many a time, however when one views the CIA and its success in its assorted campaigns against Castro in Cuba it would seem to be a no brainer. As said above, ''Let the Chinese deal with their spoiled rat brat.'' P S. U K intelligence services among other world wide intelligence services view of the CIA = Chimps in action!! (polite interpretation of the acronym)

There's no way that China is going to allow the USA or South Korea to invade NK.
However the US missile system has them rattled.
And that wee lunatics insistence on nuke tests.
That Chinese media warning to NK last week could not be more direct.
"The USA does not intend to co-exist with a nuclear armed NK."
Chinese media does not issue these type of statements unless instructed to by the government.

Anyway, how do we know that the NK state will implode with a Kim removed ?

It allows the Chinese to blame the USA when/if things go wrong.

Anyway, how do we know that the NK state will implode with a Kim removed ? Given you have a dictatorship of the highest order where all important decisions are deferred to the the fat one, and people are brainwashed into believing only the Little Kims can lead the people of NK, if he is removed, the people left will be unable to think for themselves or make a decision, ergo i think the place would implode, someone may step up to try and take the top spot, there will be opposing factions in the ruling elite I think initally...implosion, then civil war if there are no rulers put in place by say US or China
