At least Liz made it. The nice woman leading the Brothers of Italy, Mrs. Meloni, seems to have a problem with her possible coalition partners even before she's Prime Minister. "Forza Italia leader Silvio Berlusconi appeared to describe Italy’s likely next prime minister and his supposed ally Giorgia Meloni as “patronizing, bossy, arrogant and offensive” in a note photographed by the press. The epithets, scrawled on a piece of paper in the Italian parliament, were published by La Repubblica on Friday and escalated a row between two of the three parties attempting to form Italy’s next government. “No willingness to change, she is one with which you cannot get along,” the note concluded." www.politico.eu/article/berlusconi-calls-meloni-names-as-italys-right-wing-coalition-spars/

Nothing really impossible I guess but how what that come to be? Another round of candidates parading in hustings and Tory party members selecting a new Prime Minister? I don't think the Tories would go for a snap General Election, that would be too brave although it might saddle the next government with all current problems and headaches.

As I posted once before, but it rudely disappeared. This shows the problem with democracy, no control over who gets in. But as some fat git said, it is better than the alternative.

Just curious.
How much extra does an MP get in allowances, perks and pension when (s)he gets a cabinet position. Is it dependent on time in job?

I was more wondering how a cabinet position would effect future benefits like pensions and possible other perks. Also how such benefits would match up with time served in such exalted position.
