You're all mad. It's not normal enjoying staying awake all night. We were all young once and had plenty of practice partying all night and sleeping the day away. The Hipster is a big Jessie. Lmfao.

Night shift dump truck driving on Yam O cut. Dismantling heavy duty falsework over busyroads with temporary lane closures . Stage strip down after show . Road span segmental bridge erection Loads of work like that. Bouncer ~ I was a pathetic bouncer. I loved it , finishing up in the morning and heading into Wan Chai for brekkie.

Ex wife on call 24 hours and often on night shift, which meant i was too as i took over family duties, two kids.
Of course i was p**sed all the time.

In fact i was mother and father then. Yes all the chores, cooking, washing, housework, plus working.
The health service then (now) demanded more than the education service.
And education dept was enough to tip me over.
Sorry, can not attend that meeting, looking after my kids.

Some, most(out on a limb there) remember their formative years. I do.
I vowed never to let my children be raised by a child minder or employ slave labour.
Ex was not like me, had been raised by a wet nurse and sent to boarding school as soon as possible.
Yes, some dirty linen.
Even now my sons do not remember how i was always there. Biased , yes.
Took them to school of a morning, collected them after school, then fed and watched over them. Read to them, played football with them.
All forgotten by them.
It is much easier with teenagers.
My son, thirteen , is a good lad. Sure i vet his friends, but they are fine. He does not transgress.
More dirty linen.
But i know nothing.
Step son was never my son. He refused my way and stayed with mother in law.

Well i dug my guitar,it was lost in dust on the top of the wardrobe. Had it sent over here twenty plus years ago. Have never played it since.
Then tonight; no not true a few days ago, i thought of playing it again.
Went crazy and found it.
Is it ruined by being there in dust?
I do not know.
Gave it to a friend to sort out.
He knew it was a classic.
I just feel like thrashing out some chords.

I was blether's fixer for over a decade which meant numerous trips to the pig farm in the early hours.
He's rumoured to be buying another pig farm in Korat soon.

You're all mad. It's not normal enjoying staying awake all night. You are the mad one, its not normal walking up (in the middle of the night) at 4:30 in the morning for a six o'clock start, finish a 2 pm, home by 3 pm knackered, to have a quick kip or not, to stay awake or not, eff it I will have a quick power nap, wake up at 6 pm, have my dinner, p**s around for a few hours, go to bed at 10 pm, and toss and turn for a couple of hours coz I am not tired, get to sleep about 1 in the morning, then the effin alarm goes off, gets progressiveley worse as the week goes on. This may appear a contradiction to the above, the best shift I ever had, wake up at 3 in the morning, shower coffee and cigarette, watch Sky Sports News, leave house about 3:25. Get to work about 3:50, fire up computer and the kettle, run some aircraft status reports, and make some remarks and recommendations, drink some coffee and smoke some cigarettes whilst waiting for reports to be printed, quick check, job done. Get the head down from 4:30 til 6 in the morning when the day shift came in. 6 am, head to the feeder for brekkie and do a handover, leave at about 7 am. Home , showered and hit the road shopping with the mrs at 8 am, get home about midday, quick snack, sleep til 2 pm. Wake up and go play snooker til about 4 or 5 pm, go home and have some tea and start making whisky. 9 pm ish go to bed. Brilliant shift, topped off with the 50 quid a day unsociable hours pay I was picking up. Unsociable hours, , I could have worked that shift permanently if the bean counters hadnt kicked it into touch.

I'm hoping the EU working time directive gets burned soon then we can all get back to killing ourselves for the greenback without censure.

On topic, you work and fulfill the demands. When young you sure can. Night, day, who cares. Theatre days we just crashed out, my favourite was the velvet curtains There were days i never came home and then only for a few hours in the daytime.
Then you decide and make the possibly wrong choice.
It is not night or day, it is being.

Only done it twice, my first job after school was stacking the shelves for Waitrose during the night. Enjoyed it and made some lifelong friends. Also worked briefly for Amazon and it was miserable. Half way through one shit I noticed an open door so did a runner over the hills and far away 555
