Only done it twice, my first job after school was stacking the shelves for Waitrose during the night. Enjoyed it and made some lifelong friends. Also worked briefly for Amazon and it was miserable. Half way through one shit I noticed an open door so did a runner over the hills and far away 555 Reminds me of my student days and night shift at the local sorting office. Head in about 4 pm in the afternoon, eff about for a couple of hours, then about 6 pm, head to the snooker room, play snooker til about 9 pm, then head to the local boozer. Drink about eight or ten pints, then head back, sleep it off on the back of mail sacks til about 6 in the morning, then head downstairs for a fry up., punch the clock about 7 in the morning. No wonder it was privatised. I'm sure bleth did that or the like. Joke. Comes across as a spoilt prat. |

Reminds me of that pathetic weasel up in Chiang Mai, jealous to the core that I have been able to do what I want since my early forties.
As rgs said in another thread ( or was it this one ) it's called being proactive.
Way too many bitter old men poison these internet forums cos every time they had a choice in life they took the wrong one.

Way too many bitter old men poison these internet forums cos every time they had a choice in life they took the wrong one. I am not a "bitter old man", far from it. I am a realist. I see, observe and do not react. Of the post of not messing; that is realism in Thailand. You may not like it, i sure do not. But it is the way of life. Want to be a love, love , hippy here? Get real. You will find out, when old and bitter. I am old, but not bitter. In fact the opposite, old enough to not care; which is full circle as i was once young enough to not care. To not care of your world view. To go out there and see, do, be with. |

I have no answer, apart from the basic.
I try to rise above that, but then become superior, what a joke.
