Did you also visit the Old Bailey or had you been there before ? It's only a question of time That is what previous visitors said.

Imperial War Museum today, then the Florence Nightingale Museum. I walked 14 miles yesterday and I think new walking shoes are in order, so I'll go to the Elephant & Castle shopping centre, and maybe even wander down Lambeth Walk - I may even do The Last, meth Walk - apparently they sing about that The Walworth Rd used to be an eye opener back when I lived on Long Lane in the Borough.

If you're still touring, a few of my favourites are:
- Sir John Soane's Museum - Leighton House - The Old Operating Theatre Museum (as previously mentioned). Not suitable for Americans - the staircase up is rather narrow.

No visit to London is complete without a trip to The Shed You might need to book in advance though and take your own beverages Don't be confused by the menu www.theshed-restaurant.com/menu

Bishopsgate market is well worth a trip. Totally revamped area now, as you will find with a lot of parts of the city part of London and the east end. Not my part of the world, but a good place to wonder around on a Sunday. Street food a plenty with a lot of bars that have heated outside seating areas. Also in the region, Petticoat lane, brick lane (good asian/Indian food) or even as far down as Canary wharf. Although smokie would never venture that far down the Thames. Something to do with it being to close the W. Ham and bad experiences with Lasagna.

How about something we can relate to like the best pub, average price of a pint, cheapest pint? £4.50 a pint seems to be the average, seems fine to me. There's an unbelievable amount of young Far Eastern women here. Multiple thousands of them. To be fair, it is tourist London - it's a magnet.

Imperial War Museum, Lord Ashcroft gallery - VC winners collection. Amazing.
I'm a weirdo when it comes to the history of war. I have no interest in the weaponry. So the IWM weaponry displays go over my head. I'm interested in what people do.

Florence Nightingale Museum, small, but interesting, worth a visit. A Scottish engineer turned up and drained the sewage from the hospital she was working in. As soon as that happened, the death rate started to fall.

London has lots of wee gems of every kind even in the outer areas...you just have to look. Anyway enjoy your last day in the smoke....I highly recommend that curry place btw...the mixed grill is legendary.

Here's a hall of fame, some interesting names there. engineeringhalloffame.org
