Florence Nightingale Museum, small, but interesting, worth a visit. A Scottish engineer turned up and drained the sewage from the hospital she was working in. As soon as that happened, the death rate started to fall. I like to hear those little bits of history. Very interesting and seems obvious draining the sewer would work but no one before tried. A tour guides info is always invaluable for these things! Please let me know what you find out at other tours on your travels.

www.tayyabs.co.ukOh and my wee snowflake I lived in Bromley By Bow for a while.[/quote] In my early days on "the other forum" I could never work out how a Spurs supporter could be such a cxxtic apologist.

I agree with you, it's these little bon mots that make history so entertaining and interesting. Meet Doctor John Sutherland - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Sutherland_(physician)

Bishopsgate market is well worth a trip. Totally revamped area now, as you will find with a lot of parts of the city part of London and the east end. Not my part of the world, but a good place to wonder around on a Sunday. Street food a plenty with a lot of bars that have heated outside seating areas. Also in the region, Petticoat lane, brick lane (good asian/Indian food) or even as far down as Canary wharf. Although smokie would never venture that far down the Thames. Something to do with it being to close the W. Ham and bad experiences with Lasagna. www.tayyabs.co.ukOh and my wee snowflake I lived in Bromley By Bow for a while. You know smokie it's ironic you mention snowflakes and i'm sure you have an idea were this is going. Because only yesterday i watched 15 feckin snowflakes in blue shirts run around a field in Cardiff for 80 minutes without a Scooby doo of what they were doing or why they were there.

Thing is TtfT you can bet your bottom dollar that will be the game were they actually come to the party and put in a shift . They always do, because it's against the old enemy. Cheered on by their number one fan of course, old horse features herself, Princess Anne.
