Thai news is saying the divers are about 500m from the area called Pattaya Beach. They've got 3 days to find them before heavy rain returns.

Let us hope there are survivors even after the current time span as long as water has been available there is chance.
However hypothermia could be a problem, lord knows what mental damage there may be. Still it seems as if there is glimmer of hope for victims and families.

Well done the divers for pushing on past the area of Pattaya Beach, which was flooded.

From what I read it's more a 'found but not retrieved yet'. Now I haven't been following this but a Dutch news site just had "Thai teenagers to stay 'encaved' for a while longer, possibly even months (till the water level is sufficiently low)". A 'bravo' to the caregiver who got to the boys with a bag of food. "Divers have found the football team in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave but experts warn it may be months before they can be safely rescued" www.theguardian.com/world/live/2018/jul/02/thailand-cave-rescue-divers-search-for-missing-football-team-live

CNN..on the other hand...sound byte on the subject and back to their rabid fixation and contineous attacks on Trumpton, so one supposes Trumpton needs to announce a visit to Thailand and the rescue site before CNN will cover this story

BBC said earlier that the plan is to divert water courses away from the cave system, so hopefully if the cave can't be emptied, a safe level can be maintained. Pricks in the UK are complaigning about the weather.

Great work by all concerned. Who says Thais\ do not care about people. I tip my hat to the Thais who made the point of posting in English on FaceAche links, words like, thank you, supermen, etc etc. More stories emerging, the coach who went without food and drink to make sure those young lads didnt go without.

Now now uncle, such a comment leads one to believe there is a selective set of principles when it comes to some cases.
These are a group of children who have and seems will will be undergoing a harrowing ordeal. Such a situation is possibly on a par with the sort of thing involved in military training to a degree.
Many prisons in Europe and elsewhere too accord prisoners the same amenities, those prisoners are there for the crimes they committed as opposed to being a little to adventurous in cave exploration activities.

I know, I know. I'm not blaming the boys for all this, but at times I just wonder about the media hype. It's like Trump bombing Syria because of the children gassed to death while ignoring school shootings back home. Human beings are real capable of a hypocrisy without even realising and yes, I'm human too
