I've been there had to become involved in investigating and assessing the initial carnage of a terrorist attack and prior to that the military fun of playing with'' bang bang toys'' for real in a them and us scenario in a hostile military engagement, as well as R T A's , Fat ac's. Blood, guts, severed body parts or part attached body parts, the coppery smell of blood and human waste from eviscerated bodies spilled lungs, etc, the screams of the injured and those who were dying, the truth is your own come first, the rest later. Have you ever experienced such delights?
Sadness and white hot anger at the sight of the dead and injured victims of your team, revulsion and hate at the sight of the dead and injured perpetrators of the first two issues mentioned. Saw dogs sniffing round terrorists carcass left them to a free meal, lovely way for a Muslim carcass to be removed, cleaned up whatever.Saves whatever cost a funeral may have incurred.
Those memories never completely vanish, all it takes is a noise,a smell, a comment,an action, the clothes that someone may be wearing, the taste of food, a meal, a drink, a news/ flash, a travel poster, the list is endless.
So Mr. Dogooder when or until you've savoured the sights and delights of a trip or two to the hell of mans violence then you are qualified to comment, as a plus your views and opinions would then be valued. Till then your comments are mind over and matter, I realise it is a blinkered mind, thus your views do not matter or carry weight with me.

Nice distraction, but still no compassion for the casualties in Celebes.

Little known fact, but the elephant from Celebes has sticky, yellow bottom grease.

Why should there be, not my people.
Oh a reminder it was a Pope that was the catalyst for the crusades, your one of that papist crowd albeit a deserter I believe.
Why not go to Celebes yourself as you principles are so high. However be careful your catholic infidels throat may well become a tempting target. Like you rhetoric is cheap, positive input action need true conviction.
P S. No distraction, the truth, something you are blind to as it goes against your ingrained flawed mindset.

Again distractions, and a bit of history rewriting as well. 'Why not go to Celebes to help' ? I'm afraid that they're not really waiting for a 63 year old man who might not even be able to get transportation to Celebes. Of course, they're not waiting for you either. Compassion doesn't mean being physically present though. PS interesting to see one who probably is or rather was Church of England go on about Catholics. Both churches are not really much different, only a king wanted a divorce which the pope didn't want to grant him. Ideal excuse to confiscate all monastries and their wealth. As for crusades, more a population pressure and 'higher' politics wrapped in the mantle of 'Christianity'. Mind you, a lot of (Greek/Roman) knowledge preserved by the Eastern Roman Empire and the Turks found its way to Western Europe. At least the part not used to wipe ones bum

Little known fact, but the elephant from Celebes has sticky, yellow bottom grease. Well, well, what do you know. One learns something new every day Probably used to mark a territory my first guess would be, or the females and calves in the male's herd.

Never had any connection to religion born again atheist. So glad ''god'' made me an atheist !! Your wonderful comments to divert attention away from the salient points of a post are indeed indicative of some one who denies or can't or won't accept the truth

Not my problem. I don't know them, I and they have nothing in common with each other
What help is your sympathy, is it tangible?
No it's but a placebo to publicize your self generated aura of the do good social pundit like Bono and Geldoff Lily Allen etc. A hypothetical personal feel good sympathy orgasm.

It's a reference to a painting by Max Ernst. According to Wikipedia: It references a German children's poem: And in (loose) translation: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elephant_Celebes

Well I feel compassion for what its worth and that might not be much I'm afraid. You show no compassion and thereby mark yourself. The rest is the usual meaningless bullshit.

BTW the German wiki page has "Der Titel assoziiert einen alten deutschen Spottvers: Der Elefant von Celebes / hat hinten etwas Gelebes / der Elefant von Borneo / der hat dasselbe vorneo.[7] Der Begriff „Celebes“ ist die ursprüngliche Bezeichnung für die indonesische Insel Sulawesi, deren Umriss an einen Elefanten erinnert.[8]" "The title is an association with an old German satirical verse "The Elephant from Celebes, has a 'active' behind, the Elephant from Borneo, he has that in front". The name Celebes is the original name for the Indonesian Isle Sulawesi, the outline vaguely reminds of an elephant" de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celebes_(Max_Ernst)

So you never read your own posts that fact is plain for all to see.
You have according to what you say have spent the greater majority of your life dealing with computers.
Well of course they are controlled and motivated, manipulated by your commands. O K they may play up a bit , however you hold the whip hand or the on/ off button.
Not so we human beings we do react and if course you are not used to being challenged are you as in your computer world, you are as said, the undisputed master.
You perhaps should get out and about a bit more then perhaps you'll come to both see and even understand the realities and variations of human life.
Math's which is the base of computer existence is a pure science, it's either right or wrong, human life is full of inestimable variations, step out a little and you'll come to other paths, follow them, your mind may just become a little more open in those walks in the park of reality.

Would this be the time to introduce the idea of 'fuzzle logic'? Probably not.
So, mark Siampolee as uncaring bastard. Done.
