Earthquake of force 7.5 followed by various 'after' quakes and an at least two meter high tsunami. Total chaos, communication lines down. First mobile phone clips of tsunami have emerged. No further details till now.

A double wammy what with earthquake(s) and the tsunami. Casualties rising from 48 to 384. Seems the City of Palu was heavily hit by the tsunami. Numbers of casualties expected to rise.
Since Sulawesi is also a bit touristic I expect that apart from mostly locals there will also be foreign casualties. No news yet though.

Ah well being as it is a good Muslim state we will no doubt see a generous outpouring relief aid in all its variations from the Islamic nation's. Note severely damaged mosque,Allah it seems doesn't discriminate unlike many of his followers.

Decades ago me and her indoors spent a year volunteering at a hospital in Tomohon near Manado. It was a wonderful place, Christian values were the norm, the peoples were happy and carefree even if BBQ dogs were displayed at the market. On a trip to central Sulawesi to witness the elaborate funerals it was a different story. Unlike northern Sulawesi, central Sulawesi has been conquered by islam and gangs of machete weilding nutcases high on allah run amok after dark. It was very dangerous, many murders, many mass murders. Churches all burned and destroyed. Praise mohammed praise allah so wonderful. The Lord does indeed work in mysterious ways, was he trying to wash away the evil that pervades central Sulawesi??

When these people decide to live in harmony with others fine I do hope you're assisting them financially or by actually being there. I am entitled to my opinions

And yet, we deal with a catastrophe and this is hardly the time to go on about Christian beliefs of helping ones neighbour while people still search for relatives.

In the mean time people are desperately searching for relatives. even just finding their bodies is better than not finding at all.

Do not forget those who searched for bodies after the attacks the last few years on innocent folk. Said attacks carried out and boasted about by your heroic Islamic terrorist friends whom you love to say how misunderstood they all are.

Muslims view on death is not the same as civilized folk. In fact a believer always remembers death, since his or her main goal is to reach the Almighty God. Hazrat Qasim (pbuh), the son of Imam Hasan Al-Mujtaba (pbuh), when asked concerning death at Karbala, answered: “death to me is sweeter than honey.” www.al-islam.org/articles/death-beautiful-gift-believer this is why they <duck> about with suicide vests and vehicular kamikaze missions every day.

Current deaths estimated around 400, they've already been replaced going by the breeding rate of your average Muslim

Neither Christians nor Muslims are angels.
Now back to the disaster and may searchers find their relatives and anyone else still alive under the rubble.
