After watching the documentary Fat Sick and Nearly Dead 1 and 2 , I've decided to give it a go- a pure fruit and veg only juice diet.
They say by day 5 you'll start feeling great, see the weight loss, but will feel pretty awful by day 3 while your body adjusts. I'll try for 10 days, hopefully I'll make it.
Although it's not a massive stretch of time 10 days, I'll still document how it goes including the weight I drop which hopefully will be enough to spur me on and make juicing a regular part of my eating or drinking, whatever it is.

WARNING THIS VIDEO CONTAINS AUDIBLY AMAZING MATERIAL VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Can you, will you post a record of your daily intake quantity flavours etc and as time passes weigh loss and general fitness and feelings? I would think that the bathroom will figure in a more prominent fashion once the new liquids as opposed to solids regime starts though. Be careful as happiness may well become a dry fart!!

They say by day 5 you'll start feeling great When they say "feeling great", I think they really mean "feeling delirious (or, at best, light headed) from lack of proper sustenance".

I recall going on diet using some sort of patent diet thing after being persuaded by a colleague some 30 years back whose wife was selling the product in some sort of pyramid sales scheme.
If memory is correct you mixed powder with water and drank it, then then whole concoction sort of set like plastic in the stomach creating a feeling of fullness.
Played havoc with my bowels and also resulted in the symptoms above.
After 5 days my skin dried out and I started to experience irritation from the dry skin..
Result, stopped the diet pigged out on a big old bag of fish and chips a few pints too and threw the compound in the dustbin and resumed normal diet.
Happiness resulted along with regular bowel movements returning to normal, no weight loss no weight gain.

Ok so being honest here, my current weight as today (Sunday 20th March) ~ just weighed is 115.3kg. I'm 6ft 1.
Those that have met me will say yes, he has a beer gut but I've also seen much worse.
As of 20 minutes ago I officially started the diet which means from now unto whenever, it's juices only including no coffee.
First juice was: 1 cucumber 4 carrots 3 granny Smith Apple's 1 kiwi fruit Made about 500ml of juice.

Your Body Mass Index is 33.5....that puts you in the "at risk" category for diabetes amongst other things. You target weight should be 85 kg. You can thank me later.

Jeez I'll be ecstatic to reach 100kg but thanks for the bmi target.
To add I've also been off the smoking for a full 3 weeks now. Cold turkey and it wasn't bloody easy but I was sick of saying to myself when am I quitting?

Not really. 85 Kg means a BMI of 24.7. That's very much at the upper level of what is considered acceptable - verging on lardy. 80 Kg would be a more reasonable BMI of 23.3. At the lower limit of acceptable (and probably best for health) is 69 Kg, BMI 20.1. A long, long way to go.

I'd be skinny if I hit 80kg so not going that low. 90kg I'd be very happy with. Bmi actually isn't very accurate these days. After 23 years in construction I can bench press near 100kg and squat 180kg. End of the day I just want to loose some weight to a level I'm happy with not what the bmi says I should be.

^That's right. Studies have shown that losing even 10% of your body weight can have amazing health benefits. That's great you are starting to juice. I am also doing a 7 day reboot starting tomorrow. This is my third reboot. Let me give you some advice if you don't mind. -It may take you a bit to get used to, but I'd stick with 80% veggies and 20% fruit. You will lose weight faster with green juices. Look on this website for great recipes. www.rebootwithjoe.com-Start with having juice once a day and then up it to twice a day, especially if you are new to juicing. This is what i did. Going full on just juice may be tough (especially if you are drinking mostly green juices). They say to eat just raw fruits and veggies for two to three days before a fast to pre-cleanse the body so you won't have as many side effects. -Get ready for some side effects and having to urinate about every 15 minutes or so. The one thing that I found annoying. You may or may not have many bowel movements. Most people don't have the second day. -Hang in and you'll feel great after 3-5 days. Depends on how toxic you are as to how many and how long side effects will affect you. I order my juice from a company and drink six 500ml juices a day, plus one to two coconut juices a day. Drink a ton of water. I mean drink more than you are used to. You need to flush the toxins out. I'm a bit nervous as to how I will feel after a day or two because I've been eating too much lately. Headaches are common and irritableness. If you have any questions let me know. I will be drinking mostly green juices this week.

Toss the juicer in the bin, for someone like you its a complete waste of time. You will naturally be heavier because of your work, its like doing an eight hour gym session every day, you have built muscle. Your next step, knock the drink on the head for 6 months. Buy a push bike and do an hour every day, for 6 months. Your weight will probably hover aroung 95-100 kgs. The trick is to keep it at that.

If I get hungry, then I'll have another juice or drink water. Determined I am.

1. Too much sugar in a juice only diet
2. When you do start to eat food with natural fats in again your body will store the fat as after the juice diet as it wasnt getting its requiremnets.
No diets work long term, simple answer is to eat small healthy meals regularly. Fat doesnt make you fat, carbs and sugar make you fat.
Oh and burn more calories than you intake
