My Mrs wouldnt believe ostrich is a big chicken with a bad temper the first time she ate it, thought it was beef and refused to touch it initially and on our most recent visit to an ostrich farm she was bitten (pecked) by one the f ckers when she tried yo feed it some corn That's funny because an emu chased my misses. I told her, stop running, you can't outrun it. . Sheila's. What's emu meat taste like ? I know how fast an ostrich can run but have been tempted to push my Mrs into a kraal with a herd of ostriches to see how fast she can run

Emu needs to be altered with wine, herbs and spices to be palatable. Old emus are tough to eat unless you marinate them. A bit like lamb and mutton. Gamey agreed but did you know they have emu farms around the Central Coast in NSW. Export quality too.

Not really a budhist thing. More a female chinese chee sort of thing. It became fashionable for people here particularly female to follow a chinese female monk. (Probably in revolt with the male dominated clergy here). She belonged to a sect which does not eat large animals (beef) and so they do not. A fairly recent thing here. I disagree. Many Buddhists prefer not to eat red meat and of course some prefer not to eat meat at all, but like anything, it's open to interpretation. Also, Thai beef is fairly poor. Especially when you compare it with the grain fed beef of Tasmania. THats OK. I will let us take turns being right except it is not your turn yet

Breaks down the gout causing enzymes. My dad loved them and he got gout sometimes. Chicken livers, stab them with a fork and soak in milk then coat in seasoned flour, dip in egg and breadcrumbs and lightly fry in olive oil. Squeeze some lemon juice over them. My favourite way to serve them.

I believe she used to simply fry it in a pan (maybe some salt/pepper etc?). All sounds a bit offputting but it's simply mashed onto the sandwich.

The scum off of rice pudding....I'm in the hate camp....and the feckin burnt whiff it gives off makes me retch.
Only the bloody English could come up with a thing so foul....and then pair it with spotted dick.
These bastards are evil to the core.

Love Chicken livers but they play hell with my Gout. And beer doesn't? 555 I have a friend who loves his beer but is gluten intolerant and IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome), doesn't seem to bother him one bit. He drinks beer like a fish. If he has a problem he tells his wife she is trying to poison him with her cooking. Beer, nah that's not the problem, ever.
