They do a roaring busines at the IFC here , mobbed , queso , <duck>ing can't remember how to spell que ?? And that will set you back about 500 that . Full of fusion Thai shit at inflated prices yup.

The Dutch eat mayo on everything, it's the only product they have have found that disguises the smell of the dike they just pulled their finger out of.

A damn good red curry chicken tonight. No <ducking> coconut....the ruination of any curry imho...not here...it was perfect. Sounds like someone from Issan made it. Their red and green curries usually don't have coconut in it. I think they only use coconut milk in desserts.

It was an Issan style place...their krapow was so bad it wasn't eaten...a rarity for me but the omelette with prawn filled up our bellies sufficiently in any case. All three dishes with two waters was 270 Baht. Decent pricing for a proper restaurant.

There are also those who prefer ketchup, saté sauce (slightly spicy peanut sauce), sambal (Indonesian chili sauce), etc., etc. For the real flamboyant there's the "patatje oorlog" ("chips war", with at least three or four different sauces). Of course there is a group of people who only worry about calories. Well they are advised to use "appelmoes" (apple sauce), or piccalilli.

Ah the joys of living in Bkk and not in some jungle clearing.
Choices choices, what shall I have tonight, Italian, Indian, Iranian, Mexican, Turkish?
Eff it, will settle for a nice big juicy steak with proper chips (sans mayo)couple of fried eggs and baked beans, big pot of tea to wash it down with, lovely.
PS almost forgot, lashings of HP sauce, and a plate of bread and butter to wipe the plate with.

Used to like the ME food down there, and the Italian food. Take the eggs out of that meal you described and I am in, the rest of it sounded good. Especially the HP sauce.

You can get pretty close to that in ChiangMai. Try sausage king...... www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1710679919259222&set=pcb.1089695301148971&type=3
