Tomkagai and Khao Soi gai I avoid chicken as i have a natural high uric acid content in my blood. And gout is no joke . I had an attack of gout when i was fifteen, long before i was drinking alcohol. Even quit all alcohol and meat for six months and still scored above the average. Yeah. It's the chicken that's the problem.

Ah the joys of living in Bkk and not in some jungle clearing. Choices choices, what shall I have tonight, Italian, Indian, Iranian, Mexican, Turkish? Eff it, will settle for a nice big juicy steak with proper chips (sans mayo)couple of fried eggs and baked beans, big pot of tea to wash it down with, lovely. PS almost forgot, lashings of HP sauce, and a plate of bread and butter to wipe the plate with. Making me hungry ! I must admit I do miss the abundance of food that BKK has to offer. Used to like the ME food down there, and the Italian food. Take the eggs out of that meal you described and I am in, the rest of it sounded good. Especially the HP sauce. Just for you Mick, Iranian place up the road from me, Suk rd, we dont need no stinking Suk rd and tourist prices out here in the boonies.

I notice that posh <c**t> in the boonies never posted the price of his meal.
Probably his wife paid.
Outrageous Isn't it?

Never mind the starter menu, what about the wine menu, I find its almost impossible to get a decent bottle of vino for less than 5,000 per bottle these days. That nose bag at the Iranian place was about 1,000 baht.

I hear the Tesco Sauvignon is a steal at 350 Baht as well but of course I shop at Max Value by matter of principle.

I'm an hour from the Barossa valley , but their wines are cheaper at any bottle shop than the cellar doors.

GF and I did the Barossa tour when we did a drive around Oz 1979-80, bought some beautiful wines (at good prices we found out later) got p**sed before we got to the last winery. Great day out. hip, what thread is the building related topics in ? I can't find it. Have finally started building my bar in the backyard. Have the frame up and the tiles on the roof. BIL was staying with us for a couple of months building the house next door, he put it up when the building job stopped for a month. He did most of the hard work (wife did the rest) Wife said her and I can lay the blocks (good, she can mix the "mud")
